G'day,

So when you're ready allowing yourself to find a comfortable position,

You might like to grab a chair to sit on or if you're sitting on a bed or a couch just ensuring that you're upright and your spine is straight.

Allowing yourself to settle in,

You might like to cross your legs or have them outstretched.

Your arms can be in front of you with your palms facing down or up on your legs depending on how you're sitting.

When you find a comfortable position have a little wriggle and when you're ready you can gently close your eyes.

Allowing yourself,

Giving yourself permission to be in this moment right now.

However you're feeling,

Whatever you're thinking,

It's okay,

You've got you.

Just giving yourself a moment to thank yourself for taking this time right now to be still.

No to-do lists,

No rushing.

And when you're ready,

Taking a few deep breaths,

Allowing yourself to be in this moment right now.

And when you are ready,

Taking a moment to notice any sounds coming from outside your room.

Are they far away?

Are they close?

Taking in each sound and allowing those sounds to be as they are with nothing to fix or change.

And when you're ready,

Drawing your attention to sounds coming from inside the room.

And whatever you notice,

Sounds or no sounds,

Allowing them to exist.

And gently noticing where your body is in contact with the earth beneath you.

Allowing that support to be there.

Noticing where the contact begins and ends.

And just feeling that grounding support of the earth.

It's always there.

And whatever you notice about this support,

Just allowing it to be there as it is.

With nothing to fix or change.

Very slowly,

In your own time.

Giving your toes and fingers a little wriggle.

Allowing yourself to be in this moment once more.

Noticing anything different or not in your body and in your breath.

And in your own time,

You can gently open your eyes.
