Finding yourself in a seated position,

Begin feeling the bottom in your seat.

Bring alignment and attention to the spine.

As you start with the bottom of the spine,

Moving up through the lower back,

Middle back,

Upper back,

Through the neck,

And out through the top of the head.

Tuning into your breath,

Feeling the inhale,

Feeling the exhale.

Allow yourself from the breath to release downward into your seat.

And from the breath,

Allow yourself to release upward,

Out through the top of the head.

Feel the strength and the stability of your posture.

Find ease and steadiness for your meditation practice.

Feeling the breath as we allow the breath to be the anchor.

Begin to channel our inner strength by imagining yourself as a mountain.

You can choose to be any image of a mountain.

Maybe it's just the feeling and the qualities of a mountain that you channel.

The mountain,

Strong,

Stable,

And steady.

Allowing time to pass by.

Allowing yourself to be the observer.

The observer of change.

Watching as the day comes and goes,

As the moon and the stars rise and fall in the sky.

Start with tuning in to the season of winter.

Imagine as that strong,

Stable mountain,

You rest in a blanket of snow.

Imagine the feeling of resting with a blanket of snow.

And as this observing mountain,

You see a village below.

The roofs covered in snow in the cold and restful,

Peaceful winter.

But winter always turns to spring and we begin to feel the snow melting.

We observe the flowers blooming,

The trees blossoming,

And the people begin to come out of their homes.

Gardens are being tilled and we remain strong,

Observing.

As all the energy of spring heats into the warm,

Hot summer.

Feeling,

Experiencing,

Being a mountain,

Strong,

Stable.

Experiencing the warmth of summer.

And with summer,

You observe the people,

Allowing the crops to grow.

Enjoying time moving slow.

And summer fades as the leaves fall from the trees.

The colors change.

And we feel the cool breeze.

We observe the harvest coming in.

The reward for all the hard work from spring.

The mountain waiting patiently with ease and timelessness.

Experiencing and observing.

And the autumn transforms back into the winter.

Comforted once again by the blanket of snow.

Experiencing this cycle of seasons.

Welcoming each change.

Observing the sun and moon exchanging places in the sky.

Staying timelessly.

Allow yourself to take with you the ability to welcome change.

To be in the present moment,

Moment by moment.

Being timeless and an observer.

You can continue to meditate on this mountain imagery for as long as you'd like.

And whenever you're ready,

Softly open your eyes and take your strength with you.
