We can just take some time to say hello to these bodies here,

Resting on the surface.

Inviting the body to make itself more and more comfortable here as it lands and arrives into the space,

Into this moment.

Perhaps taking some time to just notice the breath exactly as it is.

Receiving the information of the breath that comes,

Whether it's shallow or deep,

Soft or tight.

Just noticing the quality of the breath in this moment.

Perhaps allowing the breath to invite the attention to the inside of the body.

Saying hello to this complex orchestra of inner life,

These organs and cells.

The flowing rivers in my veins.

The fire of my electrical synapses and impulses.

The air of my breath,

The oxygen in my cells.

The earth of this body as a whole.

Here,

Resting on the earth.

A little piece of the earth.

And perhaps inviting the body to notice itself here,

Resting on the earth,

Supported.

Noticing the contact of the feet and legs with the earth.

Perhaps sensing into this quality of resting upon the earth for a moment and then sensing into this quality of the earth actually rising up to meet this body here,

These feet.

I allow my attention to kind of expand out to the body as a whole here with all of its internal organs and muscles and skin.

Inviting this living body to breathe and fill itself out into the room,

Into the day,

Into its life.

Perhaps noticing the body in all directions,

Reaching out to the left of me and the right of me,

Really taking some time to notice the back of the body,

The support of the spine,

The room.

Perhaps sensing into the spaciousness at the back in this physical space,

But also through time.

Acknowledging the many versions of myself that have lived,

That stand at my back.

The many generations of ancestors,

And the wisdom that their lives bring to this body.

Remembering this body as a continuation of the many lives that came before me.

Perhaps acknowledging the intelligence that lives in my cells and my bones,

My DNA.

Perhaps imagining the roots of this body reaching down into the earth,

Being received by the earth.

Held.

Inviting the energy of the earth to rise up through the central core of my living body,

Up through the top of my head,

Branching out into the sky.

Perhaps just simply taking some time now to notice the breath again.

As it is,

Perhaps noticing any differences or similarities,

Allowing the body to really notice itself as it's alive in this moment,

Connected to the surface,

Supported by the earth,

By the room and the day,

A continuation of the ancestors here freshly in this living moment.

And just inviting the body to find its own completion.

Perhaps extending some gratitude to the mind and the body and the heart for showing up to this exploration today.

And to the earth and the sky for its ever-present holding.

Even when I don't remember that they're there.
