Welcome,
Trish Edward here with you and today we're going to do a meditation that takes you on a visualization into your confidence garden.
So,
Now just let yourself get comfortable where you're sitting.
Feel the seat beneath you,
The ground beneath your feet.
Roll your shoulders back if you're sitting up.
If you're lying down,
Get comfortable.
However you are,
Get as comfortable as you can.
And on your next exhale,
Allow your eyes to close.
And in this dark space,
Become aware of your breath as it comes in and as it goes out.
Breathing in,
Exhaling out.
As you get more relaxed,
Allow the breath to lengthen,
To draw in more deeply into your body.
Feel the connection of the air all the way through the process of breath.
And start to be aware of where the breath ends.
That pause before you inhale.
And the pause before you exhale.
That moment of the turning of the breath.
Now let go of focusing on the breath and imagine that there's a path in front of you.
A path that leads down through a garden.
And you're going to walk down it,
Step by step.
You get closer and closer to a gate you can see at the far end of this path.
A gate that takes you through to a garden.
A garden that is all yours.
That belongs entirely to you.
It's a garden within you that represents your confidence.
Step towards this gate.
It's nice and close now.
And you place your hand on the latch.
Take a breath and know that when you open this gate and step through,
You'll be in your garden of confidence.
Now push the gate open and step inside.
Firstly look down and notice in this garden of confidence what you're wearing on your feet.
What clothes you're wearing.
What are the colours of your clothes and the style.
And how does it feel to be wearing these clothes?
And then look up and take in the garden around you.
What does the garden look like?
What do you notice is growing?
What do you see?
Is there anybody else in your garden?
Are there alone?
Are there other creatures?
People?
Animals?
Plants?
Other beings?
Is there some part of your garden that you're drawn to?
A plant or a flower?
Or a creature that catches your attention?
Go now over to that part of your garden.
I want you to ask the question,
What do I need to do to nurture this garden?
The garden of your confidence.
Something that needs to be watered or fed.
Or is there food for you in here that you need to eat and connect with?
What are you called to do in your garden?
Your garden you can do as you desire and as you please.
What here gives you joy?
What here feels like fun?
What here nourishes your confidence?
What feeds it?
And how can you nurture it?
What needs water or mulch?
What needs pruning or picking?
What needs more plants?
It's your garden,
You can make it exactly as you wish it to be.
Spend some time connecting with your garden.
Doing what you're called to do.
Now take a moment and step back.
Take in your garden and the beauty and the joy of it.
And feel the confidence within you.
Really connect with that feeling.
And let it expand.
Expand to fill up your whole garden.
You are confident.
You are powerful.
You are confident.
You are capable.
Where does that truth lie in you?
Wherever that is let it expand.
Feel the whole of your being.
The whole of your garden.
Now you notice the gate that leads out of your garden.
And as you step through this gate,
Just take a moment to turn back and give thanks to your garden.
In whatever way feels right for you.
And then step out through the gate.
And begin the walk up the path.
And with each step,
Feel yourself with the gratitude for where you are right here,
Right now.
Each step.
Feel the love for who you are right now.
Exactly as you are.
Now become aware of your breath again.
As it comes in and as it goes out.
That feeling that connects you to the space that you are in right now.
When you are ready,
Start to wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
And as you breathe out,
You can let your eyes float open.
And step forward from this moment on.
Always knowing that your garden that is full of confidence is always there and always in your reach.
