Seriously high vibrational today! What would really happen if we truly loved our enemies? With so many emotions flying around in all areas of our lives right now, I’ve been thinking so much about love....like the ‘love your neighbor‘ kind of love.

Good morning everybody.

Welcome to In The Flow.

Thanks for being with me today.

It's a beautiful day and I am so filled to the brim with joy.

And I'll tell you why.

Because last night I watched Michelle Obama's speech.

Right now I'm not getting into politics because that's not my game.

Right?

I love everybody the same.

Okay?

So not getting into politics before you think that's what's happening.

But I am getting into how struck I was by Michelle Obama's speech yesterday.

I know I talk so so much about love.

About unconditional love.

Sort of ad nauseum.

Right?

Because that's how I feel.

You know?

And that's what spirit impresses upon me to talk about.

Spreading love.

That's what I'm supposed to do here.

It truly is.

I mean that's like my purpose is to make everybody's life a little bit more filled with love and happiness.

You know?

Love and happiness.

You can't go wrong.

Right?

Anyway.

But last night I was struck by a different type of love.

Michelle Obama talked about,

And again no politics here,

But what she talked about last night was empathy and love and all of that stuff.

And it started me thinking what if we truly loved our neighbors?

What if we truly loved our neighbors?

What if we truly loved our enemies?

Can you imagine if we absolutely loved our enemies?

You know?

So okay this is what I was saying a second ago.

You know the Bible talks so much about loving your neighbors.

But you know your neighbors can be people that,

I hate the word enemies because it sounds so negative,

You know?

But what if we loved everybody?

What if we loved our neighbors?

What if we loved our enemies?

That's sort of like it's a different type of love than like you know and then unconditional love.

It's like a universal love.

And I know that it sounds so pie in the sky and you know sometimes I feel,

And it's true,

Sometimes I feel a bit naive about how I think about things in the world.

But you know what?

What if,

Darn it,

What if this world was just filled with love and empathy towards each other?

What if?

Wow.

I mean I was just so blown away.

And then I started thinking about you know the Bible verse.

I've been called to like I you know I've been studying the the ancient texts and the Yoga Sutras is what I'm kind of into right now.

And but my sort of history I guess you could say goes back to the Bible,

The Christian Bible.

And loving your neighbor as yourself.

Like seriously?

These are like these are like small sentences that means so so much right?

But then I started taking it into the ancient wisdom.

And I remembered a word that I don't know if you guys have ever heard of before.

It's called it the word is Ahimsa.

And basically what this word means is non-violence right?

This word means non-violence,

Non-killing.

It's the total avoidance of harming any living thing,

Any creature,

Any living thing on this earth.

That's Ahimsa.

It's respect for all living things.

An avoidance of violence.

Now when you say violence okay that could mean violence like punching and all that kind of stuff.

But no it's like violence of thought as well.

There's a challenge right?

So Ahimsa is the avoidance of violence in deeds and thoughts all of that.

And what happens when when we avoid that?

The love creeps in.

And that's why sometimes like I was saying I feel a little bit naive about stuff.

But you know what?

I believe that this world is love.

I get so emotional thinking about it.

This world is love.

That's like the premise of like everything.

Everything is built on love.

Sometimes we don't show it.

Sometimes it backs itself off.

But that was my takeaway from last night on this speech that I heard.

And again I feel a little bit naive sometimes.

I think this world is such a beautiful place.

But it is and it can be.

I love the idea of that and I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of that right?

I just don't know who did it first.

But the idea of universal love for the world.

So that's what we are taking today.

That's what we are meditating on today.

Loving our enemies and universal love.

Ahimsa.

Sending only love.

No violence.

No nothing negative towards anybody.

So let's,

All that being said,

Let's get ourselves comfortable because we are gonna meditate.

We're gonna meditate on this.

Okay.

Okay.

So let's take a nice deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.

Perfect.

And this time when we breathe in I want us to breathe love in and breathe it into your heart.

Okay.

So let's take a deep breath in feeling the love going into our hearts and out.

That felt so full.

So today I want us to focus on our heart chakra and if you feel comfortable you can place your hand one or two hands on your heart over your heart just to remind yourself during this meditation that love is everything.

Love is everything.

So before we get into the stillness I want to ask our daily question.

What are you grateful for today?

What is so great in your life today?

For me what's great in my life is this.

This community that is being built based on love.

It's being built on love.

Love.

Beautiful.

So our mantra today is you guessed it ahimsa.

Non-violence ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

So it's A-H-I-M-S-A ahimsa.

That will be our mantra for today.

I will keep the time.

Just keep repeating it.

If you lose your way in the mantra just bring yourself back and focus on your breath or your heart chakra and let's begin ahimsa ahimsa ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Ahimsa.

Let's take a nice long deep deep breath in through your nose.

Ah.

Bring your awareness back to your body and the room you're sitting in.

Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

I have to tell you I started crying during that meditation.

This is what love can do.

This is ahimsa.

Absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful.

So I wish for you all today take with you ahimsa and the idea of universal love.

Universal love for the world,

For your enemies,

For your neighbors.

Thank you for joining me today everybody.

I wish you all the best of course and until next time namaste.

Thank you for joining.
