Welcome.

This meditation is designed to help melt your heart open and free it from the shackles of pain caused by potential hardships,

Injustices,

Betrayals or repeated disappointments,

All which turn our loving hearts cold and erode our joy,

Trust and hope in others and the world.

In the next several minutes we're going to cultivate that innate sense of kindness and compassion and revive the ability to give and receive love.

We're now going to begin connecting with our heart.

Let's settle in a comfortable position and place your hands over your heart center.

Let's take a few deep breaths to connect with our body and release any thoughts or feelings we may be having.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it.

And breathe out through your mouth.

One more time.

Deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it.

And breathe out through your mouth.

And the last one.

Breathe in through your nose.

Hold it.

And breathe out through your mouth.

Return to your normal breathing pattern now.

Still paying attention to the gentle rise and fall of your chest with each of your breaths which is a reminder of the life force that flows through you.

Now bring to mind your favorite childhood memory where you felt happy,

Loved,

Like you belong or any other happy memory from the time when you were a child.

If you can't come up with any happy childhood memories,

Use any other memory that makes you smile.

Once you have picked your memory,

Try to really connect with it.

Connect with the feelings you're feeling.

Think about what makes this memory stand out.

What makes you cherish this particular memory?

Were there any people around you that made you feel the way you felt at that time?

How exactly did you feel in that moment in your heart,

In your body,

In your mind?

Take a moment to really dive deep into that memory and the feelings that you felt.

You may now begin to feel some warmth in your heart space.

Imagine a golden light beginning to radiate from your heart and slowly encompassing you in a cocoon of love and warmth.

With each inhale,

Allow this light to expand,

Filling every corner of your being with warmth and nourishment.

With each exhale,

Release any tension and resistance that may be blocking the flow of love in your heart.

Visualize your heart center opening like a blossom flower,

Ready to receive and give love unconditionally.

Now that we connected to our heart and our core nature,

Imagine yourself standing under a refreshing stream of a waterfall that is showering you with a pure and healing energy.

The sacred water is washing away any traces of hurt or pain that may have caused you to isolate or turn your heart cold.

Feel this pain coming up and gently being washed away,

Leaving behind a sense of lightness and liberation.

Breathe and let it go.

As you release these burdens,

Remind yourself that holding onto the pain weighs you down and hinders your true nature.

By letting go,

You create space for joy,

Kindness and compassion to repopulate and flourish within you.

Trust in the process of release and allow yourself to open your heart again.

Now that we have cleared the path to your heart,

We can begin to plant a seed of kindness in there.

Envision planting your seed.

See the seed taken root in the fertile soil of your soul that was cleared of toxic weeds and nourished by the energy of love and compassion.

With each breath,

Visualize the seed sprouting,

Growing,

And eventually blooming into a magnificent tree with its branches reaching out to embrace all beings and experiences.

Feel the warmth of this loving energy enveloping you,

Infusing every cell of your body with grace and tenderness.

Allow yourself to be immersed in the beauty of kindness,

Knowing that it is a powerful force that can transform lives and heal wounds.

As you bask in the radiance of kindness,

Turn your gaze inward.

Embrace all aspects of your being with acceptance,

Understanding and forgiveness.

Recognizing that you are inherently worthy of love and kindness.

Affirm to yourself,

I accept myself just as I am.

I am capable of accepting and giving love and kindness.

I treat myself and others with a gentle compassion.

Take a moment now to appreciate the journey you're on and the courage it takes to cultivate kindness and vulnerability within yourself.

Honor your resilience and strength,

Knowing that every step you take towards self-compassion is a step towards healing and wholeness.

Continue to nurture the seed of self-compassion within you,

Allowing it to grow and flourish alongside the tree of kindness in your heart.

Embrace your true essence with love and gentleness,

Knowing that you are a divine being,

Deserving all of the love and compassion in the world.

As you gently bring your awareness back to the present moment,

Carry the sense of love and kindness and compassion with you today.

Know that you have the power to create a ripple effect of positivity and healing in the world around you.

Embrace your role as a beacon of light and love,

Spreading warmth and connection wherever you go.

And remember,

You hold the key to a heart full of love and light.

Namaste.
