Week 6 Movement Let's begin by closing our eyes and taking a few breaths,

Just normal,

Simple breaths.

What does it feel like to breathe?

And turning our attention to the body.

Simply rotate your body in a circle,

Simply noticing what the different directions feel like as they are received by the body.

And with your eyes still closed,

Allow your body to choose a direction that it wants to face.

When you find that direction,

Simply pause there for a moment.

What does facing this direction feel like in the body?

And what sensations arise from that direction?

And now,

Allowing your eyes to slowly open,

Begin to move your body.

Perhaps this begins slowly,

With a stretch or a turn of the head.

What does it feel like to offer your full attention to the slightest of motions?

Perhaps,

Lifting one foot and balancing there for a moment.

What does this feel like?

Perhaps a small jump into the air or a quick rotation.

What does this feel like?

Perhaps a low bow to the soil and the grass.

Perhaps a shaking out of the hands,

The feet,

The arms,

And the legs,

And the face.

Shaking like an animal emerging from the waters.

What does this feel like?

And now,

Allow your body to wander slowly in whatever direction calls your attention.

As you move,

Simply notice your body.

What does walking feel like?

What does each step feel like in the body?

Perhaps a small jump into the air.

Notice that upwards is also a direction that your body might be pulled in.

Perhaps the sky is calling your attention.

What does it feel like to reach towards the sky,

To move the body towards it?

Perhaps a small jump into the sky.

Notice that downwards is also a direction your body might be pulled in.

What can you notice if you come low to the earth and gaze at it from the vantage point of a small animal?

What does it feel like to lay your body upon the earth?

And again,

Noticing whether your body is being pulled in some direction as if by a force of attraction.

Without thought,

Simply move towards whatever is calling your body towards it.

As you move in that direction.

Perhaps you will encounter beings of the more than human world around you.

Perhaps you might play with what it feels like to push or to pull upon them.

What can you sense in your own body as you move the world and it moves you?

What can you sense in your own body as you move the world and it moves you?

And perhaps picking up one of those beings of the earth and holding it in your hands,

Let that being guide your hands movements,

Let that being move in concert with your body,

Perhaps this is what dancing feels like.

So,

Friends.

Oun sol And now taking a moment to allow your body to move completely spontaneously in whatever manner or speed it chooses for you in this moment.

Whether this is in stillness or sprinting through the world.

As we come to the end of this moment,

Let's take a moment to allow your body to move completely.

Take a few minutes to simply be here,

Noticing what it feels like to be in your body,

Here in this place and in this moment.

Take a few minutes to really rest.
