A fly is buzzing.

What images does this raise for you?

What thoughts?

What sensations?

What do you want to do?

How do you want to act?

Do you want to get up in the middle of a meditation and swat the fly?

Is it disturbing your peace of mind?

The point of meditation is to let things like this not disturb your peace of mind.

To incorporate whatever arises into your meditation.

Can you just be present with this sound?

Can you notice it without judgement?

And if you can't notice it without judgement,

Can you notice the way you notice it without judgement?

Notice how you notice yourself.

Are you hearing a should?

A should not be bothered by this sound.

If you are bothered by this sound,

Clearly you should be bothered by it.

That's what's happening.

Can you be present for that?

Oh,

I appear to be bothered now.

And now the fly has stopped and there are just birds in the background.

Is this somehow a more pleasant experience?

If so,

Just notice.

What is that tapping sound?

I don't know.

If you listen closely you may hear a track in the distance.

What judgements arise about that?

Will that disturb your meditation?

So don't be nervous.

Self-expression is understandable in Christianity because the person is wearing an Distraction surrounds us.

The form of life is in one way or another a distraction.

Are you able to accept the distractions?

Or do you find yourself fighting them?

And when you find yourself fighting them,

Do you fight yourself too?

Do you tell yourself,

I shouldn't be impacted by distractions?

Or do you get so caught up in them that you don't even know they're a distraction?

It doesn't matter.

All that matters is that you notice.

And notice without judgement.

Notice how you feel when you are impacted by distractions and when you're not.

Notice which feels more comfortable.

That's all.

Just notice what feels more comfortable.

Is my attention a distraction?

And when you can notice your judgments as they arise.

Notice too when you tell yourself you shouldn't judge that judgments are bad for that is just another judgment.

So just notice as judgments arise and notice what impact that has on your peace of mind.

Just notice that's all just notice.

Not That is the merger.

Breeze As you feel ready,

Maybe wiggle your toes.

Give your hands a bit of a stretch.

Stretch out those fingers.

Stretch your arms.

Bend your back.

When it feels right,

Open your eyes.

Come back to the room.

Thank you for your practice.

Really enjoyed the practice, I host meditation groups outdoors often and this is similar to how I share with them to accept the distractions... Nice to have this experience and reminder.

Managing distractions and judgement is a very helpful tool to have. This meditation helped me consider what I’ll do to manage distractions each day and I’m grateful.

This was such a good meditation to understand that distractions happen all the time, but that it doesn’t matter. So many people tell me they can’t meditate because they get distracted. I’ll refer them to this. I was, in turn, slightly distracted at the start because your voice sounds like Jason Donavon! Thank you
