Gently closing your eyes and bringing your awareness to your breath.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Just feeling calm,

Feeling centered,

Noticing how different you already feel.

Just by bringing yourself into the present moment,

The only moment that exists,

It slows you down.

And every time your mind starts to wander forward and become overwhelmed about going back to work after the holidays,

Bring it back to this moment.

We aren't living in the future,

All living in the past.

Right here,

Right now,

This moment is the only moment that exists.

The overwhelm,

The anxiety,

The worries about going back to work,

Feeling burdened by all you need to do,

That's the future and it doesn't have to be that future.

Also,

That anxiety and worry and overwhelm is wasted by taking yourself there,

Putting your emotions in a future that doesn't yet exist.

So just notice if you go there and that's okay,

But every time you do go there,

Bring yourself back to your breath and go,

Ah,

That's the future,

It doesn't exist.

All that exists now is this moment right here,

Right now.

I am relaxed,

I am calm,

I am connected,

I feel peace.

I breathe in,

Pause,

Breathe out,

Pause.

Just breathing in,

Noticing the pause at the top of the breath,

Breathing out,

Noticing the pause,

Just finding your own natural rhythm,

Bringing the calmness back to your body.

Letting go of all those worries and anxieties that you were taking yourself towards and coming back to calmness.

You can do this for yourself every single time you race off into that future and then all the emotions you start placing in that future.

It's not useful because it's something that's not even happening and you're allowing yourself to feel anxiety and overwhelm just by taking your mind there.

So bring your mind back to the breath gently and with a lot of compassion.

Just come back to now and breathe.

That's all you need to do right now is breathe.

Just notice your lungs expanding and contracting.

Inhale and exhale,

Bringing your whole self to this present moment and feeling the calmness that comes with that.

Now it's totally okay to be aware of what's next and planning for what's next but it's not useful to go and live in the future that doesn't exist and feel the anxiety,

The worry and the overwhelm.

It hasn't happened yet you're allowing it to affect you.

Know that the present moment is where your energy needs to be.

Just in the present moment here,

Now,

This moment where you are completely still,

You are calm.

You don't have hundreds of things to get done.

Your to-do list is empty right here in this moment.

The only thing you are focused on is being present and allowing the body to calm and allowing yourself to connect with your peace,

Your inner peace.

Let your mind wonder if it wanders and just notice it and then bring it back gently.

Generating a lot of internal calmness.

If there's a lot of busyness,

A lot of movement,

Just notice it.

Inhale and release with the exhale,

Leaving a lot of calm energy,

A lot of stillness.

Just keep on working towards that even if you're not there right now.

Inhale and exhale.

Inhale and exhale.

Knowing that you are going back to a new school term,

Knowing that you have the skills and the talents to bring yourself to this centered place of calmness where you can release the stress,

Release the anxiety,

Release the feeling of being overwhelmed just by breathing in and breathing out and being present with yourself.

Yes,

There will always be to-do lists and things to get done but if you're coming from a calm,

Still place,

You'll be able to do those things much more efficiently and effectively.

Breathe in and breathe out and if it's useful for you,

Write down the things that you need to get done and then let them go and breathe in and breathe out because worrying about them is wasteful.

Staying in a state of anxiety is wasteful.

Just be aware of those states,

Feel them and let them go.

Feel the worry come,

Understand what it's about,

Going back to school,

Go oh,

I'm going to come back to the present moment.

Just keep coming back to the present moment to what is right now,

Not what might be.

Again,

If you've got concerns or worries,

What are your strategies and solutions for those?

Are you going to just keep on allowing yourself to go into worry and anxiety and overwhelm and just keep that cycle going or are you going to come back to your breath,

Be present?

What strategies do you have to make sure you can take this calmness with you throughout your term,

Throughout the school term?

Each time the worry and overwhelm creeps in,

Bring yourself back to the present moment.

Bring yourself back to calmness.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

The school term is going to happen and will happen as many school terms have happened and gone by before but how are you going to be in this term?

Are you going to keep on racing ahead to all the things that aren't done yet or are you going to come back to the present moment and deal with what is right now?

And right now in this moment you might sit down and write a plan for the things you need to do,

The things that need to be done but then also look at that plan and see what is necessary to be done right now.

You can spend your time racing forwards or you can come back to the present moment.

You can stay in anxiety or you can come back to the present moment.

You can be overwhelmed by things that haven't happened yet or come back to the present moment.

Remind yourself that terms have come and gone,

Come and gone,

Come and gone.

How's this one going to be?

What are you going to do differently to help make this be the calmest and most peaceful term you have ever had?

Just see yourself showing up for your first day of work with this energy of peace within.

With yourself being centred,

Focused and present in each and every moment as it unfolds.

Doing exactly what you need to be doing right now in this moment.

See it all unfolding with ease,

With calmness.

You're still going to need to do what you need to do.

The question is will you do it from a place of worry,

Stress and overwhelm or from a place of peace,

Calm and gentleness.

Bring all of your energy to the present moment where you'll be at your healthiest and your most brilliant.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Breathe in and breathe out.

As you're opening your eyes,

See if you can stay connected to the calmness for as long as you can,

Knowing that you can always come back to the breath and connect whenever you need to.

Just gently opening your eyes.

A great meditation! So calming in a moment of need. Your guidance and words were very helpful and great to be reminded of previous terms and successes and to think about how this year is going to be! Intention setting spontaneously is next! Thank you so much! 🙏🏽💚🌞💚🕊
