Welcome to today's meditation.
Here we're giving ourselves permission to put down the self-improvement lens for a few moments and to be exactly where we are.
In this practice,
We're finding our way to greater self-acceptance,
To that place where we not only say we're okay,
But we actually feel it,
Being accepting of ourselves as we are,
Where we are,
Right now.
Sometimes we get lost in our quest for better,
We take on too much,
Or we feel like there's something deeply wrong when we don't measure up to our own expectations of ourselves.
But what if it's just our perspective that needs to shift?
This is what we're going to explore in today's practice.
So let's begin.
Start by releasing any tension in your body as you allow yourself to relax and close your eyes.
See if you can let go of whatever's come before this moment and anything that's coming after as you gently ease into being here and now.
Let's take one deep breath in,
Inhale,
And exhale.
When we take on a stack of self-imposed expectations,
Maybe they're New Year's resolutions or goals or simple notes for self-improvement,
We're subconsciously affirming that who we are right now is not enough.
Every goal serves as a reminder that we don't measure up to the person we believe we should be.
But who's keeping score?
Who is it that's deemed us unworthy or not good enough or not measuring up to some standard?
What if what we're really searching for is our own self-acceptance?
What if it's not a better version of yourself that you've been looking for,
But permission to accept this version of you,
The one you are right now?
And what if it's actually self-acceptance that is the gateway to our own transformation?
How would it feel to truly believe that you were enough right now?
Self-acceptance,
Self-compassion,
Self-love,
This is where true change is born.
When we embrace the version of ourselves that we are now,
We step into the place where all possibility lies.
And it's only from this place that change can happen.
And it's from this place that the root of your becoming begins to sprout and then grow and then blossom.
So let's sit for a moment in the feeling of self-acceptance,
Self-compassion,
And self-love,
Knowing that this is where everything that we want takes root.
I invite you to embrace and embody the feelings of self-acceptance by repeating these affirmations with me.
Number one,
I am enough as I am now.
Number two,
I don't need to earn my own compassion.
Number three,
Self-acceptance gives me room to grow.
Number four,
I acknowledge my progress when I accept where I am.
And number five,
When I accept who I am now,
I feel better.
As we come to the end of this meditation,
I invite you to come back to the concept of self-acceptance every day or all through the day and see what effect this meditation has on you.
Practice has on your life.
Thank you so much for taking the time to be here today.
I'm Ilya Grace,
And until next time,
Trust in your practice and in your own inner guidance and allow the universe to work its magic.
