So we're going to do some meditation now for about 25 minutes.
So if you'd like to get in your meditation posture,
Close your eyes.
With your eyes closed,
Start to get mindful of your own body.
Your body is your vehicle through life.
Sometimes we don't give it enough attention,
Which is why it gets sick.
So now we pay attention to our body and release all the stress we can in our own body.
We don't create new stress by sitting in an uncomfortable position.
So make sure your body is really comfortable.
If anything needs scratching,
Scratch it.
Anything needs coughing,
Sneezing,
Sneeze it.
And see how much you can let go within your own body.
So you're not holding anything too tight.
There are no knots of tension.
See if you expand the knots,
Loosen the tight parts of your body.
If you calm down your body,
Remember to also calm down your mobile phones.
Everything is turned off.
And when your body is really relaxed,
Just let it go.
By parking your car,
Locking the door,
You can walk away knowing your body is safe.
And focus the attention on your mental world.
See how much you can relax your mental world.
Just like the body has knots,
So does the mind have some knots.
Some anxieties,
Some fears,
Some bad memories.
If you can loosen them,
Imagine like a knot of hard energy in your mind.
You expand it,
Let it loose.
Any cravings,
Wantings,
Plans for the future.
Unlike stretching a string,
Stretches your mind into the future.
See if you can let that go.
So your mind is loose,
Relaxed,
At ease with no pressure on it.
No pulling or pushing or forcing it to do things.
Let it be.
And as the mind relaxes,
Quite naturally,
You will come into the present moment.
No past,
No future,
Just being here.
Relaxed,
Free,
Like you're on holiday.
On vacation from the worries of the past.
Free from the anxieties and plans for your future.
Just coming home to the now.
No past,
No future.
Just let go of those knots which tie you to the past.
Let go of that knot which ties you to the future.
Like being released,
Being free.
You can never really change the past.
And even learning from the past,
You don't learn from the past,
You learn from the present.
And as for the future,
Now is the time your future is being made.
This moment is the only time you have.
Especially to create your future.
Making peace,
Being kind,
Being gentle right now,
Creates a beautiful future.
You care for the future,
Look in the present moment,
Where everything is being made.
