Hi and welcome to your practice.

This meditation is dedicated to any pregnant women.

I invite you to take a few minutes for yourself away from the busyness and the intensity that the pregnancy is often filled with.

Finding a comfortable seat or maybe laying down if that feels good for you.

And if you lay down then making a choice whether that's on the left side of your body or whether you feel good on your back.

And then feel free to rest your hands anywhere you want.

For some of us the first instinct is to guide them right to the baby,

Right to the womb.

But maybe you would like this meditation to be for you.

And maybe what you need is to actually connect to your belly or to your heart.

So make this your practice.

The next few minutes are for you.

As you take a conscious and intentional breath and acknowledge to yourself that it is impossible to be present for anyone other if your own cup isn't full.

Knowing that arrive in a space of appreciation,

Care,

Nourishment.

Let this be a meditation in which you meet your own needs and are in their many in pregnancy.

The first just sense the space of your body.

The sacred vessel that has just downloaded a soul and eventually it is going to turn it into matter.

It has taken light and is giving it form.

Bathe in the miracle,

The mystery,

The magnitude of the sacredness of that reflection.

I am downloading a soul and turning it into matter and all of it happens through the portal of my body.

Let each of your breaths carry nourishment,

Appreciation,

Softness to your body.

Our bodies go through so many changes in the pregnancy.

Some of us feel magical while others really struggle.

Some of us feel divine while others cannot cope with the aches and pains and discomforts.

Send love to every place within you that hasn't felt so good.

Every sore joint,

Aching muscle,

Every new stretch mark,

Every new spider vein,

Cramped calf,

The headaches,

The nausea,

The insomnia.

Give thanks for the sacrifice,

The offering of your body.

How it's giving way to create and how it already knows what to do.

Let your whole body know that you see it,

That you appreciate it,

That you honor it.

And with the next few breaths,

Let yourself find rest in your body just as it is.

With the achy lower back and the heavy breasts and the swelling and bloating and heaviness.

Maybe silently telling your body thank you.

Thank you for being the carrier of this miracle.

And begin to dive deeper and turn your attention to your heart.

The heart that will soon crack open when your child is born.

The heart that will break into a love it's never known before.

The heart that maybe right now feels scared or heavy.

Or perhaps a heart that is already so full that it's hard to comprehend how possibly there could even be more love.

What does your heart need?

How much time are you able to carve out for yourself,

For your emotional sensitivity and depth?

Can you sense how being pregnant you're even if that tiniest bit closer to God,

To all of creation,

To the universe,

Whatever you call it.

If you don't believe in God then the word nature comes to mind.

Creating through your own body,

Feeling life in a whole new way.

Can you feel the interconnectedness with all of life through your own heart space?

Catching peaks at the universe.

Invited to love a little bit more than before.

Invited to let love show you.

Invited to allow love to take over.

Finally notice your mind.

A mind that perhaps has been preoccupied by worries,

Shopping lists,

Filled with advice and opinions of others.

Maybe there's pain that manifests as thoughts that question your capacity to really do this.

Maybe fear of the future.

Or maybe complete peace and surrender.

What have you been thinking about lately?

How busy has been your mind?

For a moment can you sense that perhaps pregnancy is a time that calls for intuition,

For trust in these deeply hidden processes,

That deep knowing in your bones,

In your womb.

Even if your mind doesn't agree you already know what to do,

You will know what to do.

Sense the alignment mind,

Body and heart.

The union of the three facets of your being.

Mutually informed,

Collaborating,

Conspiring.

Allow yourself to want to embody greater harmony across all three.

Reconnecting with what you already know at the depth of you.

We have given birth.

For thousands and thousands and thousands of years our species has survived just fine,

Without books,

Instagram,

YouTube.

You will be fine.

Let your body remind you that you already know what to do and how to be and how to show up.

For these final few moments here ask yourself what do I need?

What do I need to feel more safe?

What do I need to reclaim my inner knowing?

What do I need to quiet down the neurotic thoughts trying to talk me out of confidence?

What do I need to dial down the constant opinions of others telling me how to mother my child,

How to show up for the birth,

What to eat and how to move in pregnancy?

What can I do and what do I need to remember for every remaining day of this process that I am currently downloading a soul and turning it into matter?

Here is the most important thing,

Whatever answer you get,

Honor it.

Remember what the highest self is asking of you,

Your highest self.

Gently lower your hands to where you can feel your baby if they haven't been there before.

Release their presence and let them know I am here.

I am here.

I am here for myself and I am here for you.

Remember to fill your own cup first.

Take a big breath in through the nose.

Generous exhale through the mouth.

And then rub your palms together,

Get them nice and warm.

Before your closed eyelids,

Soak up the warmth,

The familiar touch of your own palms into your face,

Into your head.

And then whenever you feel ready,

You can separate the fingertips,

Let more light in and eventually open your eyes.

Thank you for sharing your practice with me.

Thank you for sharing this journey with me.

May you be blessed.

Namaste.

So calming. Just managed to stay awake to remain present, but could have easily used it to lull me into a full pregnancy nap as well. Thank you.
