Hi and welcome to your practice.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat and to place your palms anywhere they organically want to land.
If it feels good for you to close your eyes,
If it doesn't to gaze down,
Perhaps with eyelids semi-open,
Drawing in waves,
And then beginning to breathe in any way that feels natural and spacious and soft,
Without the need to control,
Without rigidity,
Being and breathing,
And arriving into a place of stillness.
Meditation is a journey of discovery.
The only thing truly asked of us is a sense of wonder.
Can you show up in the space that we are sharing together with that curiosity?
What is here?
What may be revealed?
Who are you meeting in your own inner world?
What is there to be acknowledged and felt and witnessed?
And as you sit here breathing and being mindfully,
Can you evoke curiosity about the entire universe buried in the human experience?
In the teachings of Tantra,
Rather than dissociate from the human experience and from our bodies,
We're somehow trying to rise above them,
Transcend them.
We go right into them,
More deeply into it all,
More deeply into the human experience and into embodiment.
So notice if there is a place in your body that's pulsating with sensation.
Whether comfortable or uncomfortable,
Seemingly painful or spacious,
Can you take all of your attention there and make it your everything,
As if you could awaken through it,
Because you can.
Truly shifting your attention to the subtle,
Dropping from the chatter of the mind into the grounding vastness of the body,
And being pulled into whichever corner,
Whichever place in space that wants your attention,
That wants you there fully.
What happens when you place your attention on the sensation?
Begin to sense how the space between your brain and your heart may seem like the most dynamic thing you have ever felt.
That charge of energy between thinking and feeling,
That emptiness that an instant becomes fullness.
Sense the magnetic field of your own heart.
This field stretches in a three feet radius all around you.
It's felt by you and by others.
Feel its textures,
Let the inside become illuminated.
What is there?
In the teachings of Tantra,
Rather than dissociate from the human experience,
We go right into it.
What are you called into right now?
What is there for you to go right into?
And what are the gifts and the healings and awakenings that are here for you,
Through your willingness to be present with yourself?
What are you discovering on this journey?
And as you breathe,
Can there still be wonder and curiosity to it?
Feel free to stay here for however long you wish,
Simply turning towards your experience,
Over and over.
Not rejecting,
Not denying,
Not judging.
Awakening through it.
Thank you for sharing your practice with me.
Namaste.
