Welcome,
And thank you for joining me.
Take a minute to get comfortable,
Whether you're sitting in a chair or maybe lying down.
Take a moment to just ground and find your breath.
Know that you are safe right here in this moment.
Bring your awareness to your body and notice any sensations that might be happening anywhere in the body.
These can be feelings of tension or tightness,
Maybe tingling.
Just taking the time to notice without judgment.
Notice the parts of your body that are in contact with the chair or floor or whatever surface is underneath you.
Notice the temperature of the space you're in.
Do you feel hot or cold?
Notice your breathing.
Can you slow down the breath even more?
Notice your heart.
Now take a deep breath in and sigh it out.
There is so much going on in our daily lives that it's inevitable we will experience upsets and moments of discomfort.
Experiences that feel challenging can be emotionally,
Mentally,
And physically draining.
And as much as we try,
The reality is that we just can't control everything that happens.
But what we can control is our thoughts,
How we react,
And how we feel.
So let's take a few minutes to reset our nervous system,
Let go of the upset,
And call our energy back to us.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale out of the mouth.
Feel the belly rise and expand as you inhale and slowly deflate as you exhale.
You can even place both hands on the belly,
Breathing into the hands,
Feeling the expansion as you breathe in and feeling a softening and letting go with every exhale.
A few more times just like that,
Breathing deep into the belly.
Deep breath in and out.
Now on your next breath,
Take your deepest breath yet,
And I want you to hold the breath just for a moment when you're full.
Open the mouth and let it go.
Okay let's do that again.
Deep breath in,
Hold the breath,
Hold it,
And when you exhale you're going to let go of everything that's no longer serving you in this moment.
Open the mouth and exhale with a sigh.
Let it go.
And returning to an easy breath pattern,
Whatever it was in the moment that got you hot and bothered is no longer your current experience.
So whatever emotions you're holding on to that are attached to that past experience are no longer serving you.
Now I want you to take a moment to think about the feelings you want to experience right now.
Maybe you want to feel happiness,
A sense of joy,
Peace,
And lightness.
Think about the experience of those feelings and allow them to come into your being and your mind's eye so that you're fully feeling and embodying them.
Allow them to wash over you like a wave shifting your experience and changing your reality.
You are the author.
You are the alchemist.
You get to choose how you feel.
Deep breath in and deep breath out.
Deep breath in,
Breathing in joy,
Love,
Peace,
Happiness,
Equanimity,
Calm,
Lightness of being,
And exhaling,
Releasing and letting go of whatever isn't that.
