Hey guys,
Good morning or good whatever time it is for you today,
Wherever you are.
Today we'll be doing a meditation for productivity.
Which seems a little bit funny off the bat because meditation at its core has absolutely nothing to do with productivity.
But it can help with productivity.
So our focus today will be on finding the pause,
On creating the pause that allows us to be more present as we go about our days and as a result help support our productivity.
So wherever you are,
Find a comfortable seat.
Gently close your eyes,
Find a focal point on the floor in front of you.
Take a big inhale,
Fill up your lungs,
Feel your chest expand.
Big open mouth exhale,
Let it go.
Beautiful.
Tap into your natural breath.
Allow yourself to mentally arrive.
So today and tomorrow and the next day and forever,
The invitation is always to pause.
It's always,
Always,
Always to pause.
So that's what we'll be practicing today.
The art of the pause.
This pause is a moment of pure presence,
A moment of deep awareness.
And maybe it only lasts a moment.
That's okay.
Let's come when you find another moment of pause.
Maybe you string some of those moments together.
Maybe you have one really long moment.
It's all good.
Just keep coming back to that one pause.
In our lives of endless productivity and to-do lists,
We often forget to pause.
But the pause holds so much power.
So this practice is an exercise in remembering to pause.
So as you go out back into the world,
To your jobs or families or friends,
Practice pause.
Before you respond,
Pause before you act.
Quick pause.
This is what's going to help you move forward.
This is what's going to support you in all of your endeavors and everything you do,
Say,
The pause is a powerful tool.
Take a big breath in.
Big breath out.
Sounds more like that.
Big breath in and big breath out.
Go back into the world.
Don't forget to pause.
