Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
We will be practicing a JSJ self-care hold that really just helps to still the mental space.
Helps to still our minds and really just feel this,
For me anyway,
For when I practice this hold it provides just mental clarity and an ease in my mind fairly quickly.
So let's begin by finding the first position which will be the only position that we will be in today.
I find myself lying down on my left side as usual but you can be in any comfortable position at all today.
Maybe sitting or even standing.
And how we get into this hold is we put our hands,
Put your hands in the opposite and opposite armpits.
So for me,
I cross my left arm first and I just tuck my hand right under the arm so that my fingertips reach out the back side.
And then my left thumb is resting on the front side of my body.
So my thumb is just pointing up right there on the edge of my arm.
And then my right arm crosses over,
Right hand goes under armpit so that my right fingertips stick out the back a little bit.
And then the right thumb remains on the front side of my body just pointing up and resting where it feels comfortable.
And this is going to be our position today.
So we are touching safety energy lock 26 on each side of our body.
And if you are sitting,
If there's any way you could find pillows or blankets or anything to prop up your elbows,
Prop up your arms so that you can completely relax your shoulders and completely relax your hands.
So you don't want to be finding yourself in a tensed or gripped position.
Simply letting your arm hold your hand in place and then relaxing and letting go of any tension that might have happened as you found this position.
And as usual,
I invite you to take three long,
Slow and deep exhalations to get yourself comfortable and settled into this position.
One,
Breathe any way that feels good to you and your body.
Exhale.
Let your exhale feel good.
No need to worry about what it sounds like or whether it's rhythmic.
Just sigh it out or even yawn.
Anything to provide your body and lungs with a bit of relief.
One more.
Settle in.
Tune out this external world around you.
Just turn our attention inward towards our inner selves,
Our spirit,
Our soul,
Whatever you want to call it.
Just that innermost part of our being.
So I like to imagine the space right in my forehead area.
Some people would refer to it as their third eye area.
To bring my awareness to this area and simply imagine myself turning around and looking inward.
Turning out and away from the external world and turning in.
And exhaling once again.
This next portion,
Just follow along with the words.
And when you hear the word now,
I want you to visualize or even just have a feeling of flipping a switch in the centermost part of your being.
With the word now,
Just imagine the flip of a switch happening within your internal world.
Letting go of sorts.
I see all my busy thoughts today and I accept and allow all of them now.
I don't want to ignore or push you away thoughts.
I simply want to acknowledge that you're there and then find a stillness within all these thoughts now.
I accept and allow all thoughts that come up during this meditation as positive,
As peaceful.
Even if my mind continues to think for the whole rest of this meditation,
I accept and allow all my thoughts now.
And exhale fully in completely.
I disentangle from chasing my thoughts now.
Integrate with allowing my thoughts to pass.
And I realign now.
I realign with my focus being on relaxation.
Relaxation of my body and of my breath now.
Realign with relaxation and comfort.
Realign now.
I realign with.
.
.
I disentangle from attaching to my thoughts and I reintegrate now.
I realign with letting my thoughts pass like clouds in the sky or like a movie on a screen and I reintegrate now.
I realign with letting these thoughts pass as I simply stand back and watch.
Reintegrate now.
I realign with a full exhalation,
Allowing this exhalation to feel good and nourishing to me,
My body,
And my growing baby.
Let it go.
Exhale.
Focus your body in this moment.
I disentangle from trying too hard.
I disentangle from trying too hard to please other people.
Trying too hard to be perfect in any situation.
Trying too hard at.
.
.
And then you just fill in the blank.
Now allow your time here to insert what that might be.
Go from trying too hard at.
.
.
I realign with feelings of letting go.
Feelings of ease and grace.
Exhale.
Let's do that just one more time.
I disentangle from trying too hard at.
.
.
Trying too hard to fill in the blank.
I realize that I'm trying too hard to get everything done and I reintegrate now.
I realign with enjoying this moment of relaxation.
Enjoying my exhales.
Realign now.
I realign with feelings of peace,
Safety,
And wholeness.
Realign now.
And now I'll be silent for one minute.
And I invite you to connect with this growing baby inside.
Maybe there's something you would like to tell your baby or maybe you simply just want to listen today and see if there's anything that your baby wants to tell you.
And enjoy this next minute to breathe,
Tune into your own intuition,
And enjoy this next minute of silence.
Goodnight.
And now if you're comfortable in this position,
I invite you to remain in this position for as long as you're able to.
And if you're ready to move on with the rest of your day,
I invite you to take a few deep breaths.
Welcome yourself back to your body,
Back to the space that you're in.
Maybe take a couple sharp inhales or a big sigh in,
Big sigh out.
Make your eyes open if they've been closed,
Remove your hands from the position.
I like to make little fists with my hands after this hold and then stretch my fingers out wide,
Make a little fist,
Stretch my fingers out wide,
Make a little fist.
And just do that a few times,
Turning your wrists,
Maybe rotating them,
Wiggling your ankles,
Your feet,
Your toes,
Anything to help bring you back to this present moment.
And I always encourage some light stretching after a JSJ self-care or just simply whatever feels good to you in this moment,
I always encourage you to listen to your own body and do what feels right for you.
You all have a wonderful rest of your day.
As always,
I'm sending all my blessings to you and your beautiful growing baby.
