Hello and welcome back to Pregnancy JSJ Meditations,
Where you experience a new form of meditation that includes a guided practice through a highly developed form of acupressure called JSJ,
Which is the main focus,
Along with breath and relaxation awareness,
Emotional freedom techniques,
Affirmations,
And more.
Today we will be practicing just one position,
One self-care JSJ hold.
As always,
I invite you to find a comfortable position to be in for the remainder of this meditation.
You can pick to be sitting today or lying down on your left side or right side today,
That would work too.
Or reclined or even lying on your back if you're in the early stages of your pregnancy.
Once you find your comfortable position,
We will get into our JSJ position.
So today we will be crossing our arms over the front of our bodies and putting our hands under the opposite armpits.
So your right hand goes under your left armpit and your left hand goes under your right armpit.
Keep your thumbs on the front side of your body and stick the hands all the way under your armpit so that your fingertips rest on the outer edges of your shoulder blades.
If you're new to these meditations,
Don't worry about the exact placement of your hands.
The most important thing is to be comfortable in these holds.
And if your breasts are so large that it's uncomfortable to hold both hands under the armpits at the same time,
Just hold one under one armpit and then periodically switch during this meditation.
Once you find yourself in the comfortable position,
Just think about relaxing in this moment.
And if you need to get pillows or blankets to prop up any parts of yourself,
Go ahead and do that now.
The main focus of JSJ practice is simply letting our bodies relax.
So let's begin by taking just a few breaths on our own,
Focusing on your exhalation,
Letting your exhalation feel good to you and whatever you're needing in this moment.
You might be needing a long,
Slow exhalation,
Or maybe you need a fast and more forceful like sighing exhalation,
Depending on your day,
Depending on the level of tension that you might be feeling,
Or you may already be relaxed.
And in which case,
Just breathe normally and bring your attention and awareness to the feeling of letting go as you exhale.
We'll exhale three times and then we'll begin our emotional freedom technique today.
So the only thing you need to do is to just follow along with my voice.
And when your mind wanders,
Bring it back to my voice in this meditation.
Now bring your awareness inward.
Bring your awareness towards your center,
Whatever that might mean for you,
The center of your being,
Where your source is,
Your soul,
Where it resides.
Bring your attention to where you feel that might be today.
And when you hear me say the word now,
I want you to go ahead and imagine pushing a little button in this center point and just letting go.
I disentangle from my erasing thoughts and I reintegrate now.
I realign with letting my mind wander without attaching to the thoughts and I reintegrate now.
I realign with exhaling and feelings of peace,
Ease and grace.
Realign now.
I disentangle from the attitude of trying to and I reintegrate now.
Trying to can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people.
But basically when we're trying too hard at doing something,
It can disrupt our energy systems,
Disrupt our source,
Disrupt our center.
So whether we're trying too hard to please others,
Trying too hard to achieve something,
Whether it be at your job or at home or with family or loved ones or friends,
We can pretty much try too hard at everything.
So it's important to recognize this attitude as this,
You could also call it an emotion,
I guess,
An emotion that's overlooked in our societies.
This idea of efforting is almost encouraged and truly,
As my mentor reminds me,
We are human beings,
Not human doings.
So back to our statement and I'm going to let you fill in the blank.
So think for a minute what you might be trying too hard at today.
Trying too hard to control situations or trying too hard to accomplish something,
Please others,
Just pick something that resonates with you today.
I disentangle from trying too hard to fill in the blank and I reintegrate now.
I realign with letting go.
I realign with feelings of relaxation,
Fluidity,
Ease and grace and I realign now.
I realign in this moment with feelings of peace,
Safety and comfort and I reintegrate now.
I disentangle from any tension that I feel within my body and I reintegrate now.
I realign with consciously releasing the tensions in the muscles that I may feel and melting into the space that I'm in and I realign now.
I realign with feelings of peace,
Safety and relaxation and I reintegrate now.
I disentangle from any resistance that I may feel now and I reintegrate now.
Resistance too,
Again you can just fill in the blank for what you might be resisting today.
So we'll say that statement again and you can fill in the blank.
I disentangle from resistance too and I reintegrate now.
I realign with feelings of accepting,
Feelings of allowing,
Feelings of trust,
Of safety.
I realign now.
Exhale fully and completely.
We'll say those statements just a couple more times.
You can fill in the blank.
I'll add in a couple suggestions.
I disentangle from trying too hard at achieving and pleasing and I reintegrate now.
I realign with my own inner self,
My inner strength,
My soul,
My inner beauty,
My inner wisdom,
My inner guide and I reintegrate now.
I realign with feelings of confidence,
Courage,
Peace.
Realign now.
I disentangle from any feelings of resistance I may be experiencing today during this stage of my pregnancy and I reintegrate now.
I realign with feelings of trust,
Peace,
Calmness and clarity.
Realign now.
I disentangle from feelings of being busy and stressed and I reintegrate now.
I realign with feelings of stillness,
Peace,
Calmness.
And I realign now.
And now I invite you to bring your attention back to your center and simply think about what you might be needing today.
And I want you just to pick one thing.
I have to take up any time or be anything very significant.
For me,
When I'm pregnant,
I like to focus on my four basic needs and sometimes people's basic needs can differ.
I'll share mine.
My four basic needs when I'm pregnant are rest,
Light exercise,
Hydration and nourishment.
And so you might pick to go drink some water after this meditation or to go eat a meal or go on a nice walk or maybe lay in bed for an extra 10 minutes to a couple hours depending on what you and your body and baby need today.
So go ahead and just pick one thing and then turn your focus back to your breath and give your body a nice full exhalation one more time.
And now bring your attention down towards your belly towards where your beautiful baby is growing inside.
Your baby is so happy and content in their first home in your womb.
They are so thankful that you have taken this time to calm down and to connect with them because when mama is calm,
Baby is calm and babies can sense this more than you might realize because they are just so pure and they are just so full of light and love and they are so responsive to how we're feeling and what our state of being is.
And so when we take time to rest our bodies and to be still and to look inward,
They feel that and they know.
So I ask you to turn your attention towards your baby for the next couple minutes and just simply rest in stillness with your baby or tell your baby something that's on your mind or listen to see if your baby has anything to tell you today.
And I'll be quiet so you can have this experience for two minutes and just remember to breathe and be.
Thank you very,
Very much.
