Hey my darlings,
Ah here we are allowing ourselves this retreat into a space of quiet,
A peace of quiet and doing whatever works for you right now to invite some rest and relaxation and repair into your system you know when we come into this particular part of our central nervous system we allow our body to to really care for itself to tend to itself without all of the alertness on the outer world we bring our attention into our inner world and these moments of quiet and stillness and calm they are so deeply nourishing it is such a gift so settling,
Easing the body maybe rolling the shoulders stretching settling,
Softening and gifting yourself this time of generous attention remembering that anything that is calling for you in the outer world will still be there right here right now there's nothing to do nowhere to go no one to be we're simply present maybe your eyes have drifted closed if you're engaged in something as you listen then simply allow your gaze to soften and bring your attention inward noticing the breath maybe a deeper breath a lovely long inhale and a deep exhale and a deep exhale perhaps seeing how it is to squeeze the belly button back toward the spine so that all the air can smoothly leave the lungs and another deep beautiful inhale and noticing your posture whether you're sitting or lying or walking just notice whether there is any leaning toward or leaning away from in your posture whether there is a a tightness at the front that pulls you forward or a tightness at the back that pulls you back see how it is to play with this sense of balance and bringing yourself really into this neutral posture see how that informs the breath taking another two or three lovely deep rich inhales and long slow soft exhales and beginning to return your attention to the outer world so maybe wriggling your fingers wriggling your toes rolling your shoulders bringing some delicious nourishing movement into the body with your eyes open or closed whatever feels most delicious for you and maybe as you begin to return to whatever the rest of your day may hold you might wish to reflect on this sense of balance hmm what does it mean for you what are the adjustments that you need to make during your day to support you in being in balance balance is a verb not a noun it's not a fixed state it's something that we find through our movement and just as we find it through our physical movement we also find it through the inner adjustments that we make by paying attention to to what we're sensing and what we're feeling the stories we're telling ourselves about what is happening and it's through this conscious awareness that we're able to come into what the body is seeking a state of homeostasis so that we are able to rest and repair and care in the way that will most serve us and those around us hmm so blinking open your eyes if they're not already open and thanking yourself for this practice may you be safe may you be well may you be happy may you live with ease
