Our breath is a tool that we can access any time to clear the mind,

Calm down,

Find inner balance.

This will be a guided breathing practice to invite you to explore breathing through the nose and deeply into the diaphragm.

Nose breathing has been scientifically proven to be the most healthiest way to breathe daily,

Allowing more intake of oxygen than inhaling through the mouth and creating a better distribution of oxygen within the body.

Breathing deeply and fully into the diaphragm also maximizes oxygen circulation.

If you haven't done so already,

Get in a comfortable position,

Whether it's sitting up or laying down,

Start to observe the body,

Observe the breath,

Place a hand on the stomach,

Feel how the belly rises and falls when directing the breath there.

As you inhale through the nose,

The belly rises.

As you exhale through the nose,

The belly falls.

Inhale through the nose,

The belly rises.

Exhale through the nose,

The belly falls,

Leaving you to breathe in silence for a few minutes on your own.

At any time,

If the mind starts to wander,

Just bring it back to observing the breath.

As you inhale through the nose,

The belly rises.

As you exhale through the nose,

The belly falls.

Or you can even say in your mind,

I'm breathing in,

I'm breathing out.

I'm breathing in,

I'm breathing out.

I will guide you back when it's time.

Start to come back to the body,

Come back to your space.

Take a deep long inhale through the nose,

And an open mouth sigh out,

And gently start to open your eyes when you're ready to move on with your day.
