Hi everyone,

It's Heather here again and I'm so glad that you are here.

We're going to practice a meditation called a seed sound mantra.

The mantra is called So Hum.

So Hum meaning I am that in Sanskrit.

This is a frequency,

A seed sound,

A vibration.

And this helps us to identify ourselves with the universe and all of creation or the ultimate of reality.

It can be an opportunity for us to focus the thinking mind on the mystery of being and to reflect upon the interdependent nature of all of life.

So let's prepare.

Coming to a comfortable seat,

Cross your legs,

Sit on a cushion under your hips or perhaps you would like to sit in a chair you're very welcome to or lie down.

And just feeling the sense of alertness,

Allow the sense of ease throughout the body as you lengthen,

Push your sit bones down,

Lengthen right through to the crown of your head.

And sometimes I like to visualize a flower reaching for the sun.

And relax now through your legs,

Your knees,

Your hips,

Your hands.

Allow the hands to sit up a wee,

Palms up or palms down,

Or perhaps you'd like to put them together one on top of the other.

Relax your shoulders,

Your jaw,

Your face.

And just begin to watch the breath.

And we're not affecting the breath,

We're just simply bringing our attention to the tidal rhythm of the gentle rise on the inhale and the fall of the breath on the exhale.

So we're going to use the seed sound so hum.

S-O means I am,

Hum H-U-M means that.

You now,

You can either say this out loud or in your mind.

As you breathe in,

Say so.

As you breathe out,

Say hum.

And then just gently start to take a deeper breath.

And bring your hands together to the centre of your chest.

And take a little bow towards your hands.

And with that,

We have finished our practice.

Namaste.

I hope you have a beautiful,

Beautiful day.
