Hello and welcome to this guided breathwork practice for self-acceptance.
It can feel challenging at times to accept ourselves,
Especially when there are parts of us that we dislike or disown or don't feel at peace with.
And whilst it's perfectly okay to want better for yourself,
To change some unhelpful habits or beliefs,
Just know that fundamentally there is nothing wrong with who you are.
And I know that might be quite challenging to take in,
But healing begins with wholeness,
Embracing all of you,
Even these parts of yourself that you dislike.
When we can bring kindness and compassion to the parts of us that we have disowned or shunned,
Only then can we really move into a place of self-acceptance and even self-love.
Fighting who you are and where you are in life is only going to cause you more turmoil and stress but when you can bring acceptance into your being and into your circumstance,
However it may look,
Then you can move forward with a greater sense of ease.
It's time to stop being at war with yourself and start really coming home to who you are.
Begin by finding a comfortable space to sit down with yourself and a comfortable space to sit or lie down,
Making any adjustments,
Closing down the eyes or softening your gaze.
We will be using a three-part breath that involves two inhales through the nose and one exhale out through the mouth,
So it should sound like this.
Breathing into the belly at a depth that feels comfortable for you.
I'll be breathing along with you,
But know that this is your practice and you don't need to keep up with me.
Check in with yourself,
Maybe you need to breathe really slowly or maybe you want to speed it up.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to this practice and whenever you feel your mind wandering,
I want you to use this mantra.
I accept myself as I am in this moment.
I accept myself as I am in this moment.
Let's begin by taking a few deep cleansing breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And whenever you're ready,
Let's begin that three-part breath together.
Two inhales through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.
I accept myself as I am in this moment.
And if you are feeling any resistance or physical sensations,
Just know that this is completely normal.
Breathing with whatever is present,
You've got this.
Using that exhale to release and let go of any tension that you might be holding in the body.
Breathing out through the mouth.
Dropping those shoulders on that exhale and allowing yourself to let go.
I accept myself as I am in this moment.
Breathing in spaciousness and ease into the body.
It's time to come home to yourself.
Release that tension.
Release that gripping.
Releasing that three-part breath now and let's finish by taking three deep cleansing breaths together.
And placing one hand or both hands over your heart.
I accept myself as I am in this moment.
I am ready to stop being at war with myself and embrace my wholeness.
All parts of me.
And by accepting my humanness,
I come home to myself.
I heal through accepting all of me.
And all of me is welcome.
Always.
I am exactly where I am meant to be.
And I accept myself exactly as I am in this moment.
You can return to this practice anytime you need to deepen that connection with yourself.
Thank you for joining me today.
I'm sending you much love and healing.
I'll see you next time.
