Welcome to this guided breathwork practice to help you connect with your inner guidance.
Often the constant stream of mental chatter in the mind can make it hard for us to hear our inner wisdom.
And by using the breath we can clear out all of this mental chatter and begin to listen to that more intuitive voice within.
The thing about your intuition is that it won't always make sense and it won't always tell you what it is that you want to hear.
Which can also be why we tune it out or simply don't listen.
But here's the thing,
Your inner guidance will never ever steer you wrong.
It's time to stop looking outside of ourselves for someone else to give us all the answers or tell us which next step to take.
And start trusting that wisdom within.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and make sure that your spine is straight.
For this breath practice we will take 20 deep breaths into the belly.
Inhaling and exhaling through the mouth.
This is a circular breath with no pauses.
And at the end of the last exhale we will hold the breath for 20 seconds.
And we'll repeat this for three rounds.
With each breath I want you to imagine breathing out all the thoughts,
The chatter in the mind.
And breathing in spaciousness and clarity.
And if it helps you can almost imagine yourself exhaling a fog or a mist out on that exhale.
At the end of the breathing practice we will take time to allow our inner guidance to come through with anything that we need to know or get clear on.
And this can happen in the form of words,
Sentences,
Pictures,
Colours or even feelings.
There is no right or wrong.
Simply trust however it comes through to you.
And if nothing happens that's ok too.
Connecting to our intuition is a practice.
And many of us have been conditioned to not listen to it.
So it takes time and effort.
But trust that it is there.
And the more you practice this the easier it will be to connect with it.
When you're ready closing down the eyes.
Connecting to the surface beneath you.
And taking a moment to observe that inner landscape.
And let's start by taking a nice deep cleansing breath in through the nose.
And let it go.
Let's do two more.
Breathing in through the nose.
And let it go.
Breathing in.
And let it go.
Now let's begin our 20 breaths together.
Last breath in.
And release.
And hold the breath.
Feeling the air coming in.
And the air coming out.
And let it go.
And let it go.
Feeling the aliveness in the body.
Feeling the stillness of this hold.
And moving now straight into our second round of breathing.
You've got this to stay with that breath.
Last breath in and release.
Let go and hold on the out breath.
Feeling that life force move around your body.
Feeling any blockages dissolve.
And moving into our third and final round of breathing when you're ready.
Using that exhale to release the busyness of the mind.
Breathing in spaciousness and clarity with that inhale.
Last breath in and release and hold at the bottom.
Holding your breath for as long as it feels comfortable this time.
Relax the forehead,
The shoulders,
The stomach and simply sink into the stillness.
Feeling everything settle.
Bringing a breath in whenever you are ready and returning to your normal breathing.
Bringing awareness to the ground beneath you.
Connecting to the earth below.
Grounded,
Centered.
Connecting to the vast limitless space of the sky above.
Opening that central channel within you.
That connects you from above and below.
Feeling spacious,
Light and grounded.
And asking your inner guide.
What do I need to know?
What messages do you have for me?
And relax and allow anything to come through.
Placing a hand on your heart now and thanking your inner guide,
Your inner wise self for any wisdom,
Any insights.
Return to this practice as many times as you like to keep strengthening your connection to your intuition.
Thank you for joining me for this practice.
