Welcome,

Find a comfortable,
Quiet space where you can be still.
Gently close your eyes and take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and softly exhale through your mouth.
Begin to settle into this moment.
There is nowhere else you need to be,
Nothing you need to do.
This time is just for you,
For your mind,
For your body,
For the quiet partnership they offer you every single day.
Now let's bring awareness to your body.
Start at the top of your head,
Feel the subtle sensations there,
Feel the warmth,
The coolness or perhaps a gentle tingling.
Offer gratitude to your mind,
The beautiful space that holds your thoughts,
Your dreams,
Your creativity,
The part of you that imagines and envisions new possibilities.
Silently say to yourself,
Thank you mind for guiding me through this life with curiosity and wonder.
Now slowly shift your attention down to your face.
Feel the slight movement of your breath as it enters and leaves your mouth and nose.
The gentleness of your closed eyelids and give thanks to your eyes for they are the windows through which you witness the beauty of the world.
Say to yourself,
Thank you eyes for allowing me to see light,
Color in the faces of those I love.
Now move your awareness to your mouth and jaw.
Relax any tension you might be holding.
Appreciate your lips for speaking your truth,
Your tongue for allowing you to taste.
Say to yourself,
Thank you mouth for giving voice to my thoughts and allowing me to express love.
Now bring your focus to your shoulders and arms.
Feel their weight as they gently release.
Think of the loads they carry,
The hugs they've given and the support they've offered.
Say to yourself,
Thank you arms for holding,
Lifting and embracing with strength and tenderness.
Now bring your attention to your hands.
Wiggle your fingers,
Feel the sensations in your palms.
Give thanks for their ability to create,
Touch and hold.
Thank you hands for crafting my life,
For holding on and letting go.
Now shift your awareness to your chest.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Notice your beating heart,
The constant rhythm of life.
Feel gratitude for this heart that keeps you alive,
Even when you are unaware of its steady,
Tireless work.
Say thank you heart for your endless devotion to keeping me here,
Present and alive.
Now move your attention down to your belly.
Feel the expansion and contraction with each breath.
Thank your stomach,
Your core for nourishing and sustaining you.
Say to yourself,
Thank you belly for the quiet work of fueling and renewing me.
Now bring your awareness to your legs and feet.
Feel the connection they make with the surface beneath you.
Acknowledge their strength,
The way they carry you from place to place.
Say thank you legs and feet for moving me forward,
Step by step,
No matter the terrain.
Now imagine your entire body as one harmonious system,
Working tirelessly even when you are asleep.
Your cells renewing,
Your organs functioning,
Your muscles carrying you,
Your nervous system communicating.
Without needing your direction,
Your body breathes,
It heals,
It holds you,
It rises each day with you.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Soften even further into this gratitude.
Silently say,
Thank you body for your wisdom,
Your resilience,
And unwavering devotion to my life.
Now let's shift your attention back to your mind.
The space that houses your thoughts,
Memories,
And dreams.
Your mind capable of creativity,
Reflection,
And problem solving.
Thank it for its ability to learn,
To imagine,
And to grow.
Even when your mind is restless or uncertain,
It holds space for new perspectives.
It expands with every experience,
Helping you understand more of the world and yourself.
Silently say,
Thank you mind for your capacity to dream,
To wonder,
And to seek.
Let this gratitude settle into your being.
Feel it moving through you like a soft wave,
Filling every cell with warmth and appreciation.
Carry this deep gratitude with you today.
Gratitude for your body.
Gratitude for your mind.
Gratitude for the remarkable partnership they create.
Carrying you through every experience with strength,
