Welcome to meditation.

This meditation is designed to help you in a moment when you really need a reset.

So chances are you wouldn't be here if your feathers weren't a little bit ruffled right now.

So I'll just say,

Welcome.

You're going to be okay.

And let's get to work.

This is a short meditation.

But I think it will help.

Take a moment to let your breath and your body do whatever it wants to do.

So that might mean going into a really deeply relaxed mode.

It might be that.

But it might be that you want to clench up your fists and your face and and shudder a little bit or shake a little bit.

You might want to unleash a chain of bad words.

You might want to take a deep breath in and let out a sigh or even grab a pillow and let out a scream.

Whatever.

But your body is very intelligent and your breath is part of that and it knows what you needed to do.

We're not going to force you into some sort of a super zen meditation right now.

It's not what you need.

Once you have made that move,

And maybe you even need to pause this and do some push-ups or pause this and run around your room or something like that or punch a pillow.

Once you have gotten that initial energy moved through,

Then we'll go into the next step,

Which is to take some very regulated breath.

So you let your breath be totally wild first,

Totally savage first,

However it needs to be.

And now you're going to take it and you're going to take it under your command.

And you're going to breathe all the way to the walls,

As I say.

So you breathe all the way in until you're full and you breathe all the way out until you're empty.

A few times,

A few times,

And as you're breathing,

You'll feel what is bunched up in you.

You'll feel what is hard in you.

And you can relax what is bunched up and unfold it and you can soften what is hard in you.

And let it flow.

You'll feel it coming into relief.

You'll feel the emergency energy,

Whatever it is.

You'll feel it dissipate with this breathing.

And when it feels dissipated enough,

Then you go into the next phase,

Which is you breathe just however your breath wants to move.

You're not regulating it.

So it might be shallow.

It might continue to be deep.

It might be audible.

It might be sighing or breathing loud or you might get real,

Real soft.

Again,

In a moment like this,

Your nervous system is hungry for something.

Your inner being is hungry.

Just give it what it wants.

If it's stillness,

If it's energy,

If it's activation.

But you let go of whatever you just came from.

Just let it go.

Let go of the conversation.

Let go of the action.

You might still feel it in your hands like you're still acting.

You might feel this impulse in your legs to kick or run or you might be in outrage or overwhelm.

But we want to get you back on track.

So you just let go for now.

You let go and you just feel your breath.

In this case,

It's the natural breath.

Whatever the breath wants to do,

You just feel it.

Keep letting go of the situation.

Feel your body in your seat wherever you are right now.

Feel your feet.

Feel your legs.

Feel your butt in your seat.

Feel the way your arms are arranged.

Feel your head and your face as it is right now.

Breathing naturally.

Now the last phase,

Remember what is truly important to you.

Remember what is truly beloved to you.

Be on track with that now.

What do you really deeply need to be on track with?

What is truly important?

What is truly beloved?

And feel it in your body.

Feel where you hold that in your being and breathe into it.

Let everything else go.

Let yourself rest in this energy and take refuge in this meditation for one more minute.

You're letting go of everything else except for what is truly important.

Your body,

Your mind,

Like an open vessel.

Ready to go back into action now.

Reset now.

Realigned now.

Unburdened now.

Ready.

You're ready.

Breathe into that readiness.

If you went into a really relaxed place,

Then let your breath invigorate you all the way to the soles of your feet and get you ready to go back into your day,

Back into your life,

Whatever you may be doing and called to do.

When you're ready,

You can let your body move.

You can let your eyes come open and off you go.

Good luck.

Come back as often as you need to.

Bye for now.

This was a great meditation. I love that it started with releasing the pent up negative energy in the body then moved into calming and refocusing on what is actually important. I've used this multiple times and I end in a much better emotional place when I'm done.

Excellent! Love the focus on listening to my (intelligent) body and showing the body and breath to do what I need before trying to take control. Helped me be able to settle in in the latter part. Have bookmarked + downloaded as I have a feeling I'll be here fairly regularly!
