
Daily Energy Clearing Meditation
This is your daily energy-clearing practice. Sit, relax, and learn to distinguish what energies are "yours" and what belongs to others and needs to GO! This meditation combines a simple visualization with the breath to help you get clear and empowered whenever you need it.

Welcome to meditation,
Make your body really comfortable and as you feel your body in your very comfortable position,
Deepen your breathing so you can really feel the movement of your breath.
Increase it gradually,
But increase your breathing so that you're breathing all the way in until you're full and then breathing all the way out again until you're completely empty,
But build up to that gradually,
Just feeling the capacity expand.
Notice as you breathe deeper in this way that you don't need to strain anything,
You can keep your face really relaxed,
You can keep your whole body totally released and just increase your breath.
So by now you're breathing all the way in,
All the way out.
Do three more of these full breaths.
When those complete,
Just let your breathing be totally natural.
Let it come in and go out however it wants to,
But keep your attention there.
As you breathe and feel your breath,
Begin to relax your body part by part.
Start with your head and your face.
Relax all the little muscles that make you frown or smile.
Relax the mask that you wear in society.
Let your tongue relax.
As you're relaxing,
You might find that you want to take a deeper breath.
Your breath might want to help the relaxation process,
Just let that happen.
And move now to your neck and your shoulders.
You can move your head gently to just see if you're holding your neck or if your neck is released.
Good swallow.
Relax your shoulder joints,
Your armpits,
And your arms,
All the way to your hands and fingers.
And you might want to move your hands and fingers and your wrists a little bit just to see if there's any little release that wants to happen there so that you can completely let go in your arms and hands,
Your fingers,
Your thumbs,
Your typing fingers,
Your texting thumbs,
All of that.
Now notice in your upper back,
Notice in your chest,
Notice in your lower back,
Notice in your belly.
Can you breathe into all of these big quadrants of your torso and let them go,
Let them relax.
You can take some breaths down into your belly and just see how relaxed it is.
And again,
There can be movement,
There can be adjustment to make space for the relaxation to happen.
And you're going all the way down to your hips now,
All the way into your pelvis.
Feel your hip joints,
Feel your thighs,
Your legs,
All the way to the soles of your feet.
And just like you did with your hands,
You might want to wiggle your toes or make fists with your feet and release them.
See if there's anything that wants to release,
Anything that wants to let go before we go into stillness for this meditation.
Feel where you are in your space.
Take in all the sounds that are around you.
Feel the elements that your body is in contact with in your space.
This is where you are in this moment.
But you're connected to everything else.
And within everything else,
There are things that we want to be connected to,
There are things that energetically nourish us,
Support us.
And there are things,
Situations,
People,
Events around us that deplete us,
That energetically pollute us in some way,
Like exhaust fumes coming into an atmosphere.
Your energy body is permeable.
So in this meditation,
We're working with that principle and just noticing what is ours and what is not.
You may know exactly what you're working with today.
You might have specific situations or specific circumstances that are putting their energy into your field or depleting your energy in a way that isn't helpful.
If you know what they are,
That's great.
But I promise you,
Living in this world,
Living in human life with other humans and human societies,
This practice is always going to be beneficial.
You can imagine your body,
Just in whatever position it's in right now,
As an energy container.
It's shaped like your body,
But inside,
Instead of all of the anatomical bones and tissues and organs and so on,
You can imagine that inside,
It's just energy.
And truly speaking,
It's not just within the confines of your skin.
It's more like an energy field or a cloud.
It extends out beyond our skin surface.
That's what we're working with.
I want you to imagine a color,
And this is your color.
The color of your energy when you're feeling free,
When you're feeling love,
When you're feeling easy,
Expanded,
Integrated.
This is your color,
And don't worry about getting it right.
You might be able to see the color of your energy,
Some people can't,
Otherwise you can just imagine it.
And then imagine that within your energy field,
There isn't just your color.
There's all these other colors,
There's all these other energies.
And your color might not be so vivid.
Your energy field in this moment here at the beginning might not be completely filled up.
It might be depleted.
You can imagine what that would look like with other colors mixed into your color and your color drained away into different situations.
There may be big and small energy streams that are going out from you into different people,
Into different circumstances,
Different situations.
They can go anywhere,
All the way across the world to situations far,
Far away,
Where those energies are coming into our field and our energy is draining out into them.
I'm not talking about giving our energy as a spiritual practice.
I'm not talking about actually consciously paying attention.
I'm just talking about more of a leaky energy that happens even when we're asleep.
And I'm not talking about other energies that we invest in ourselves consciously,
That we bring in for deliberate purpose into our energy field.
We're talking about the ones that have just come in when we weren't paying attention,
When we didn't even notice.
As you do this practice,
You might find that your breath wants to change.
Let it if it wants to.
It can help sometimes to breathe and imagine breathing energies out of your energy field,
Drawing your energy back into your field that has been draining off in all the different directions.
Your body might also want to move to help this process.
There can be little wiggles or you might even find your hands moving to different parts of your body to help release trapped energies.
It may feel really perfect to sit or be perfectly still.
You're doing great.
I want to invite you to bring your attention especially into the central axis of the energy field.
You can imagine it going from beyond the crown of your head all the way through your body beyond the floor of your pelvis.
There's a concentration of energy here.
All of the energy centers,
The chakras are found here and we're going to spend a few minutes really inviting the process to clarify the energy in the central channel.
Breathing out whatever doesn't belong here.
Bringing in our spiritual vitality.
There can be energies lodged in this central part that are very old.
They're not just circumstantial of what's happening right now in your life or in the world.
Some of these we've been holding for a long,
Long time,
Longer than we can even imagine.
But the things that we're moving through today,
This week,
In the season of our life can mix with those and trigger those and activate those deeper,
Older energy patterns.
We're just using our breath,
Using our practice to let all of this get cleared.
It's just our color.
The other colors go back to where they came from.
From the central channel all the way out to the outer edges of the field.
We're getting clearer and clearer and brighter and more concentrated.
We are reclaiming our leaked energy,
Our loaned energy.
We loan that energy out.
Feel it in your physical body,
From the soles of your feet to the palms of your hands.
These subtle energies interact with and invigorate and nourish the gross body,
The physical body.
You can imagine your blood flowing more freely,
Your nervous system flowing more evenly and harmoniously.
You can even feel it in your breath.
Last couple minutes to see what needs to go,
What needs to come back.
Breath by breath,
We get clearer and freer,
More vivid,
More whole.
You can start deepening the breath.
You can start feeling the physical more directly,
Even moving your toes or your fingers.
For now we complete this process,
But make a promise to yourself that you're going to come back to this and pay attention to this.
Your energy is yours and it's beautiful and it's precious.
You being full and clear only makes you more able to give your good energy to the situations,
The circumstances that deserve it.
