This talk goes deeper into our lives while we deal with our anxiety. As mystics, we believe if you shed light on your problems then like a diseased root if brought into the light it will wither and die. So too our mental illnesses can be dealt with in the same manner.

Hello everyone,

Welcome back once again.

This is a continued talk on our dealing with anxiety from a mystics perspective.

I'm making this recording to help a few people that have replied and responded to the first recording we made on anxiety.

So now I'd like to go in deeper and maybe fill in some more gaps that we maybe left out on the original recording.

So I've heard it said that 99% of most mental illnesses I know are just in your head.

They're illusory.

But they feel real.

And they appear real.

Just like the ego is part of our being,

But yet in reality you can't put your finger on it.

You can't point to it and say that's the ego.

Even though we know what it is,

It's hard to define what it is.

With anxiety,

You know,

We can pinpoint it.

There are different types of anxiety and I know that.

And the ones I want to deal with is more the social anxiety or what is going on with your mind.

And if it's something that's just in the mind,

When we become the master of the mind,

That's when we can become master of our anxiety and overcome it and at least make it tolerable and make it so we can deal with life as some sort of normalcy about it.

So when I say that we're dealing with things from a mystics perspective,

I mean that in a way I'm coming down from a mountaintop and I'm meeting you while you're in a ditch.

Basically when you're suffering from anxiety you are in a sense in a ditch.

And psychiatrists,

Their goal is to get you to a certain point.

Out of the ditch,

But you're still kind of in the valley.

And you remain in the valley because that's all the psychiatrist knows how to deal with is dealing with life and its normalcy.

But a mystic is not going to leave you in the valley.

What a mystic wants to do is then prepare you to make the trek up the mountain.

Remember the mystic has made the trek up the mountain many,

Many times.

Sometimes hundreds,

Sometimes thousands of times.

So we want to prepare you and help you mentally,

Physically,

And intellectually capable of dealing with your situation,

Dealing with your anxiety.

And then once we conquer and get you to a point where you're able to function with normal society and not have these anxiety attacks come upon you,

Then we can worry about trying to climb up the mountain.

That's when the real journey begins because you can always,

If you're in the valley all the time,

There's that ever chance that you will fall back into the ditch again.

The ditch is sometimes really hard to get out of.

This goes for drug addiction,

It goes for mental illnesses,

Which drug addiction is really a mental illness.

The goal is to get you out of the ditch,

Into the valley,

And then ready to climb the mountain.

So stay with me and listen to these words I've got to share with you and I'll try to get you to the point where you can actually do that and enjoy the journey too.

So stay with me.

Okay.

So the first thing we have to do is tell ourselves we have a problem.

Acceptance.

Total acceptance that you have an issue you need to address.

And it's kind of like having a thorn in your foot,

If you think about it.

Your anxiety is like a thorn in the foot.

And what we're going to do is we're going to use the mind as a thorn itself to remove the thorn in the foot.

So that's all fine and dandy,

But you've got to remember when we do this,

We can't leave the mind in the foot as a thorn.

You know,

If we're going to use the mind as a tool,

Then we can't remain in that tool because then you're just shifting the function from one problem to the other.

So if you want to climb the mountain,

If you want to get out of the ditch and you want to live successfully in the valley and then one day climb the mountain,

You can't have any thorns in your feet.

You'll never make it to the top of the mountain.

You never make it out of the valley.

So we don't want our mind to be an issue.

And we don't want our anxiety to be an issue.

So we have to rise above both of those things.

So over the next few minutes,

What I'm going to attempt to do is to help you learn that you are more than your body.

And you are more than your mind.

You exist beyond these things.

You are way more than them.

They're a part of you,

But your consciousness is way bigger than your mind or your body.

So Christine,

In response to the first video,

The first anxiety video I put out,

And hopefully you,

If you haven't listened to that one yet,

That's kind of a precursor to this one.

But she said,

You know,

It's interesting,

But how do you figure out if it's in your head or in your body?

How do you know if it's chemical imbalance or if it's just in your head?

She says,

I don't believe there is such a thing.

That's just like saying just calm down or just get over it.

And she said,

Thank you.

So in my response to what Christine was saying,

I try to keep it down and use as few words as possible and say only what really needs to be said.

And at that point,

You can use your mind and your consciousness to fill in the gaps or read between the lines with what I'm saying.

But listen to what I responded to Christine with.

I said,

If you can be the watch of your thoughts,

It might be a super highway for a little while,

But keep watching.

Don't feed or add fuel to the fire by trying to stop those thoughts.

Just watch and soon the gaps will appear.

Once the gaps appear,

And you can still watch the gaps,

Then that is the start.

Then being able to dissolve into those gaps and watching what happens,

Then you will learn the trick of dissolving into existence.

And that's when meditation happens.

All else is just work to get you to that point.

And that's what you want because the deeper you go into the abyss,

The higher your branches will reach to the heavens.

I say these things because that is the door to help you realize that you are more than the mind and more than the body.

You will never,

And I mean never,

Regret diving into yourself and becoming whole.

The words meditation and medication both have the same root.

They mean the same thing,

Which means to help you to be whole again.

So once you determine the source of your anxiety,

Then it will be up to you to try to be the master of it.

Especially if it's just mental.

If it's just in our heads and we can be the master of our minds,

Then we can eliminate most of the anxiety attacks that we have.

And of course we have psychiatrists that can help us with these issues when we need it.

And there are doctors and there's medicines that will help for sure.

But as a mystic,

I'm just saying that we can be the masters of our minds and therefore rise above and get you out of the ditch,

Which is below a normal conscious level,

Into the valley which is where everybody is living and everybody co-exists.

And then above the valley is super consciousness.

So there's mental illness,

Then there's just normal consciousness,

And then there's super consciousness.

So super consciousness is getting you ready to climb the mountain and dealing with things that you've never seen or heard before.

It's the first time you'll ever have contact with what some people call God or godliness.

And you'll have divine,

Almost like divine intervention,

Helping you to grow and guiding you along the path of climbing whatever mountain you have to climb.

If you've ever climbed a mountain before,

Or gone up a mountain,

I know we have ski resorts that give you a lift and they help get you up the mountain.

But I'll tell you a little story.

I once wanted to ride the bowl at Breckenridge,

This big bowl on one of the steeper mountains at Breckenridge.

Breckenridge has like four or five mountains that are all combined together to make one resort.

Anyway,

They opened up one of the bowls one day and you take a quad lift up to a triple lift that goes up to a T-bar,

And then the T-bar gets you to a certain point.

It only gets you up to the base of the bowl.

So being from Flatlands,

I got up to the end of the T-bar and I started walking up the bowl and climbing my way up.

It's pretty steep.

And I had my snowboard in my arms and I was able to make about 10 feet at a time before I was completely exhausted and completely out of breath.

And I felt like I couldn't breathe.

I didn't want to get oxygen sickness or anything like that.

So I would go 10 feet.

I would get my wind again,

Then climb another 10 feet.

It took me,

I kid you not,

Probably four more hours to climb to the top of the bowl.

So think about that.

I mean,

I could have ridden 100 trails back down below the tree line and it would have been fun,

Fun,

Fun,

Fun,

Fun all day long and no effort put out.

So that's kind of like having our anxiety levels coming out of the valley and then getting up below the tree line and everything's fine and dandy.

But there's more to look forward to.

And one of the reasons why I'm sharing this video with you is that I want to give you a glimpse of what's up higher,

What you can't see.

I mean,

If you're in the ditch,

You definitely can't see it and you can't experience it.

So let's get you out of that ditch.

Let's get you going with your life and strengthen your mental capacity.

Okay?

So anyway,

So it took me four hours to climb,

You know,

Probably 150,

200 feet up the bowl to get to the top of the mountain.

But one of the most amazing things happens to you when you get to the top of the mountain.

You can see for miles and miles and miles when you're that high up and all you see is all the other peaks.

And there are,

You know,

In Colorado,

There's a lot of other peaks that you can see once you get to the top.

And it's so beautiful and so amazing and so breathtaking.

A lot of people would just get to the top of the mountain like myself and some other people and you just sit there and enjoy it for a little bit.

There's not a lot of room at the top of the mountain you find out,

You know,

There's not a lot of oxygen up there.

There's not a lot of room.

There are only so many people can fit up there.

So you know,

Eventually you got to,

You know,

Make your trek down and get down or as I did,

I snowboarded down the mountain.

And what I did was I buckled into my boots and there's signs everywhere up there that says,

Look,

If you get hurt up here,

If you get hurt back here,

You know,

Sign down this mountain in the bowl,

It's going to be a long time before anybody can get any medical services to you.

So beware,

You know,

Be cautious and you know,

Just,

You know,

Use safety as a caution,

Right?

So anyway,

With that,

With that in mind,

I,

I launched down the mountain in the bowl and it wasn't as snowy as I hoped it would be.

It's kind of icy.

So I'm digging my rails into ice and it took me,

I swear,

Not even more than 30 seconds to get all the way completely through the bowl.

I mean,

I flew through that bowl and down to the tree line where I could get a little more control of my board.

And the reason why I'm saying that is because,

You know,

Once you do climb to the top of the mountain,

You may find yourself like me and wanting to go back up again and come down again and go up again.

And throughout my spiritual life,

Ever since 1996,

I have climbed up that mountain and slid down,

You know,

Hundreds of times,

Whether it was with Taoist thought,

Sufism or Zen or Buddhism or Christianity or,

You know,

All these different paths lead up the mountain,

Right?

But when you get toward the higher parts of the mountain,

Like,

Like I said,

Above the tree line,

So there's super consciousness and super consciousness is your first touch with the divine.

It happens when you raise enough energy up through your chakra systems up to your heart chakra and then you can experience what they call super consciousness.

But above that,

There are two more levels of consciousness that you're not even aware of because nobody,

Except for the mystic,

Has experienced them,

Except for those people that have climbed to the top,

Spent enough time up top,

And then,

You know,

Slid down or climbed down or however you can get down.

Right?

So,

The next level of consciousness is what they call connected or unified consciousness.

And this is something you feel when you sometimes you feel it within loved ones within your family where you can feel that there's something wrong with that person when you're there thousands of miles away from you or something and you can feel that something happened to them and they need they need to talk to you.

That is connected consciousness,

And it's above super consciousness.

And when you get to that level,

When you get above super consciousness and you feel that connected is what they call the Tao.

That's complete unity of the opposites.

It's a complete feeling where you're interconnected,

That you are a part of everything and you realize it at that point.

But it's above super consciousness.

And that's why a lot of people don't know about it.

And a lot of people have never experienced it.

But then above that is one more level of consciousness,

Which is what they call cosmic consciousness.

And that's when you're completely,

This complete feeling that you're whole,

And that you not only are you connected,

But you are everything.

Everything exists,

A whole universe exists within inside of you.

And then you also fit in the universe.

It's kind of like explaining like you are a drop of the ocean that has returned to the ocean when you've when you experience that cosmic consciousness.

And Buddha called that nirvana,

Where you basically just disappear,

The light disappears.

Nirvana basically means the extinguishing of a flame,

Putting out a flame.

And that sounds kind of scary,

You know,

To think that your your flame is exhausted.

But you dive into the hole.

And this diving into the hole is what people some people call samadhi.

And in samadhi,

You disappear.

Existence fills your body,

Fills everything around you.

But for a moment,

You dissolve into existence and existence dissolves into you.

And then what happens then is when you get done meditating,

You come out of your samadhi,

You will feel so much bliss,

And so beautiful and so radiant.

And these things you have to look forward to,

But we got to get you for one out of the ditch first.

So to get you out of the ditch,

We have to go back to what I talked about,

About being watching your thoughts,

Become a master of your mind,

Become a master of your body.

When you become a master of your existence,

Okay,

Then,

Then you're,

You know,

You can control things like addictions,

You can control things like greed or fear or anger or jealousy.

You rise above those things as you climb the mountain,

As you go to higher levels of consciousness,

As you become deeper within your soul.

Yeah,

You have to meditate and you have to pay your dues and you have to be committed to this and basically,

You know,

Dedicate your life to becoming a mountain climber,

Become one person who doesn't want to have to worry about falling in the ditch.

I mean,

When you're climbing up the mountain,

The last thing you're thinking about is that ditch that's way back in the valley.

And I hope this makes sense to you guys.

And I hope you,

You know,

Take these words I say for granted,

Not for granted,

But take them into your heart and take them into your soul and let them drive you and give you the willpower.

Like I said,

First is acceptance,

Then there's willpower.

And then you have to have a vision to want to be more and want to do more and enjoy and relish in the livelihood of,

You know,

Being a mountain climber.

Of course,

That's just an analogy of,

You know,

What it means to be spiritual.

Coming to mountain to me is just another way of saying being a very spiritual person or having a God consciousness or Godly consciousness with inside of you.

Okay,

Folks,

I think I've shared enough for this one.

So yeah,

Leave me a response.

If you can give me a rating,

That would be great.

If you guys give me feedback,

Then I can come back and answer your questions and I'd be glad to do that.

So again,

Thank you guys for all the support and I've made about,

I think about eight or nine videos on Insight Timer now.

And I plan on keep making more and helping my fellow man and woman out as much as possible.

Alright guys,

Take care of yourselves.

Bye.

This was really special for me. I can't explain. It gave me hope and real faith that things will be okay. Unfortunately I haven't been able to stay with this hope that seemed to rise me above the ditch and beyond and I have slipped back down.. I'm hoping the experience your words gave me will stay with me though and spur me on to finding a way to have a more sustained time out of the ditch. I will definitely look at your other videos.
