Facing Demons Even Religious Or Spiritual Demons

This lesson is a talk on facing old demons both religious or spiritual. Using lessons I'm still learning about like fighting demons from my pass from long ago it is a must to one day face your demons and learn how to connect to divine source directly so you will have the courage to drop or rise above your demons.

Hello and welcome back once again. Thanks again for joining me. I'm hoping this is going to be an insightful talk about facing our demons. And there are many demons in our lives. And there goes the music. There are many demons in our lives and demons come in the form of alcohol or drug abuse or on the brighter side you could even say that certain beliefs could be demons too. Because those beliefs can actually keep you from knowing the truth, Keep you from understanding and being one with the truth. So join me on this little talk and we'll go into depth into how to conquer our demons or maybe at least understand what they are. Because a lot of times if you just understand what your demons are then you can face them. You gather courage and you face those demons and knock them down and they can't control your life anymore. I guess what sparked this conversation for me today is that I'm reading a book. I read a lot of books of course. That's how I try to stay sharpened you could say. And this book I'm reading now is different. It's got a negative connotation to it and then a positive connotation to it. So half the book is kind of negative, Right? And then the other half is super positive and very uplifting and very beautiful book. But I have to ask myself, Does God want me reading this book? And I've tried to maybe notice that any bad luck that happens to me as I'm reading over these negative parts of the book. Am I taking that as God saying, Hey I don't want you reading this book. And the answer to that actually is a big no. But give me a minute and I'll discuss why I say it is a big no. Okay so I draw back a little bit and think about when I skydive. And in a way I always say a prayer before I go up and skydive. Even though I may not believe in a God that is the same as what you might believe in a God as, As somebody who's sitting up and judging us and dictating what goes on in life and everything like that. To me that's not what real God, What God really is. To me God is this like essence, This godliness that's everywhere. It's in the trees, It's in the grass, It's in the air, It's in the stars, It's in the earth, It's everywhere. This isness is a sense of godliness. We just don't have the eyes to see it, Or most people don't have the eyes to see it. And when you're given those eyes to see it, Then the rest of the world is not going to believe that you actually can see it because they can't. But anyway, So before I jump I say a prayer. And the prayer usually is kind of the same, Not meant to be like a repetitive prayer, But basically I'm like, God if you can hear me, If you're out there and listening to what I'm praying to you about, I say jump with me. Enjoy this jump. I will be your arms, Legs, Eyes, And ears, Nose, And mouth, And you experience this jump. You jump with me and it'll be this thing we do together. And the most amazing thing happens is usually when I'm in free fall and I'm enjoying the jump, The fun part of the jump. I mean it's all fun, But the fun part of the jump, I can actually feel God's essence with me. And as I'm falling to my death at 120 to 170 miles an hour, I feel this essence of godliness within me that is vibrating and alive and aware. And this is like, I call it extreme Zen, But it's a coin I turned a long time ago when I first got into skydiving. And it really didn't come to me as this extreme Zen until I started skydiving. I did a lot of other things like surfing and snowboarding and I've had the godliness come to me in those, But I didn't have an expression for it until I started skydiving and called it extreme Zen. So anyway, So under free fall, I feel this essence. And then when it comes time to pull your parachute, It's like this oh shit moment. Like you wave off, You look around, Make sure nobody's, You know, You're not going to hit anybody by opening up where you're opening up, And you throw your parachute out. And then there's this almost five second wait before you got an open functioning parachute above your head. So in those five seconds, You know, I'm like thinking that hope and praying that God has something to do with opening that parachute the right way. And I don't know if that, Looking back at it now, Is that a demon or is that a blessing? Because if everything's going right in your life, If you're doing all the good things in life, Which some people do and don't have a question about it, But if you do something that is construed negative or harmful to life, Are you going to be punished for it? Okay, So if I went up and did a lot of skydiving and I was a really bad person and I open up the parachute and it doesn't open, Could I say that that was God inflicting some sort of punishment on me? But that's what you'll find is that's not the way it works. They say that God showers and when God showers, He showers on the good and the just and the unjust just the same. It's equal. It just depends on if you're open to receiving the blessing that he's trying to distribute. So this sort of superstition that I have when I jump has made me really wonder, Does God really have anything to do with opening that parachute? I would also like to think that it has something to do with all the engineering that's put into making parachutes safe, That's put into making us safe and the design of the rigs and the parachutes and the lines and there's so much that goes into making a good parachute. And I have a pretty decent parachute. I have had a bad opening a couple times and what's funny is it's like one of the bad openings I had a couple years back, Probably about five, Six years ago, I just had this like intuition that something bad was going to happen. It's like I knew that I was going to be punished and I knew that something's going to go wrong on that jump. And sure enough I was on a rental chute and I think my chute was in the shop getting repacked by the rigger. And anyway, So I got up to the air and I jumped. I had a pretty uneventful free fall and it was super cloudy and I opened a little bit high so I could fly around the clouds and be safe and be seen by everybody. But the parachute opened up and I think one of the toggles became dislodged and so one of the brakes was stowed and one of the brakes was not stowed, Which put me into a violent spin. But I knew my training. I knew what to do. So I grabbed the toggles and I pulled them both down all the way hard to a full flare below me and it got me out of that severe spin. Had I not done exactly that in that maneuver to counter out the violent spin, It could have been a bad skydive and maybe the parachute could have collapsed and I would have had to pull the reserve under a spin myself. But I had this intuition that it was going to happen, That something bad was going to happen and sure enough that's what happened on that jump. Then years later I was demoing a parachute that I was thinking about buying and I put this rig, I gave it to the rigger to put the demo parachute into my rig so I could try flying it. And I mean, I don't know if I had any dreams about it going bad or not, But I was definitely weary flying a different parachute that's not my own for the first time. So I wanted to pull high and play around with the parachute and enjoy flying the parachute a little bit. Practice flaring it, Learn a little bit about the parachute while you're up high in the air. So anyway, I had an uneventful free fall and then I got down to about 5, 000, Maybe about 5, 500 and I waved and I pulled and this thing opened up and it was a piece of shit. I mean, It had a line over, It was a line twist and it was spinning me violently. You can't fly that. They say there's the check of threes in skydiving, But if it's there, Square and steerable, Then you can fly it. But if it's not there, Square and steerable, You need to get rid of it. So I knew immediately, Because I watched a video a week or two before this, That happened, This exact same thing happened to another woman and she stayed in the spin way too long. But I knew immediately what to do, Get out of the spin and cut away that crappy main parachute that I wanted to fly so bad and pull my reserve. And I did. And the reserve opened up and I was still in a little bit of a spin, So it gave me line twists all the way up. So now I'm really freaking out a little bit because I'm not that I was scared at all, But I knew that if I didn't fix this fast, That I was going to hit the ground pretty fast and I'd probably break a leg or something. So the fears of skydiving. I just thought it'd be interesting to share that story with you kind of along the lines of, Do we have a divine presence that's watching out for us? Do we have all these guides and these spirit advisors? Do we have people looking out over us and do they have any effect or any way of communicating with us to help prevent catastrophes in our lives or prevent us just from doing simple, Stupid, Wrong things or saying the wrong things? I can say this is that if I do have guides, And I think I actually do actually, Because I took a picture of a bunch of smoke. It wasn't supposed to be smoke. I was taking a picture of sparklers. I was messing around with photography and light and creating different images of light in Photoshop. And anyway, What happened was I put a couple of sparklers in the ground and I lit the sparklers and I tried to take a picture of the sparklers sparkling. And as soon as I tried to take the picture, Both sparklers blew up in smoke. And that's just not what sparklers do, But these did, Both of them did at the exact same time. And I was able to snap the picture of the smoke. And later on, I looked at the picture when I blew it up on the computer and it was a clear picture of two people, An Indian man and a Japanese man. And I was told by other people that those are my guides. They just wanted to make themselves known. I had an aura photo taken too of myself. And I didn't want to tell the aura lady anything about me, If I was spiritual, If I was enlightened, If I was not enlightened. I didn't want to say anything about me. I just wanted to take the aura picture and just see what it looks like. Because I'm no different than anybody else. I'm just a human. I'm not extravagant. There's nothing about me. There's just a small difference between me and the average person. So anyway, She took the picture of me and she took it twice actually, Because it turned out the same both times. But she asked me, What is it with you? Because this isn't what an aura photo looks like. She showed me pictures of what aura photos look like. And there's little colors blue here, Little colors green there, And maybe some reds and oranges, Whatever. But just small ounces of light radiated off the human essence. And mine was a great big house shape, Orange and yellow and red aura. And at the top of the house, There was like these orbs, These orbs of light. And the lady that took the photo said that those orbs are my spirit guides. And I'm thinking maybe it may be the two that I captured in the smoke picture. So, You know, It's possible there's guides. I mean, It'd be kind of nice to think that, You know, We're not alone and we have people looking out for us. My mom told me when we were very young, That when my grandfather passed, Before he passed away, Her dad said to her that he would always look out for her children until they grew up. But like I said, I skydive, I surf, I think I put my guides through hell, You know, With all the crazy crap I do and all the dangerous things I get myself into. But I mean, It'd be nice to think there's guides. I will say that. But is that superstition? It is in a way. Is that a demon? No, I don't consider that to be a demon. But the fact that you think that God would punish you for doing wrong is a demon. Because you have to understand something about godliness. And godliness is pure love. It is the highest form of love. And that's all God is. There's no judgment. It's not like what the Bible says about God. There's absolutely no judgment. There's no negativity surrounding God itself. I know then you wonder why there's so much negative and bad things in the world. And you'll find that if you're not facing that love, If you're not embracing that love, That oneness, That wholeness, The godliness, And you turn away from it, The farther you turn away from that god and face the other way, The farther you'll travel away from the center of the wheel. And God is like the hub of the wheel. And you travel out the spokes away from it, You become more schizophrenic and you feel less and less love. And you feel more anger and more anxiety, More stress. And a lot of people call this the dark night of the soul. And if you're experiencing a dark night of the soul, Then my advice to you is basically go in and make that turn in and face the oneness again. Face the wholeness. It is a cloud of abyss that you have to go through to get to that wholeness, To get back to the hub, Because you have to turn your, If you turn yourself around right away, You'll see the light and you'll face it. But the problem is, Is you're not receptive and you're not accepting of that, Of what's going to happen. And you get scared and fear takes over. And when fear comes in, It destroys everything. There's two things that destroy everything, Fear and greed. Those two things will keep you from knowing the center, Knowing this godliness. So I wouldn't be scared about God loving you or not. Now, Whether you're doing something right or wrong, That's a whole nother question. And I'll cover that for a second here. Anything you do with awareness and you practice with awareness and you make this awareness practice a part of your everyday life. Say you're just waking up and eating breakfast. Well, Eat breakfast with awareness. Smell your food, Taste it, Enjoy the taste, Enjoy the eating. Imagine the food nourishing your body and bringing you health and vibrancy so you can start your day off right. Make that a meditation and practice this awareness with everything you do. You're driving to work. Hey, Great time to not zone out and be detached from the world, But a great way to practice awareness. Imagine the guy ahead of you and him trying to be safe in his own realm. And then you have a cushion before you between you and him. And you know what you need to do to stay safe. You need, You know what spacings needed as you're driving down the road. And then also a person of awareness will think about the guy behind him too. I mean, I was almost in a wreck the other day. I was going to work on the freeway and all of a sudden the cars in front of me slammed on their brakes. And the guy behind me, I could tell he was going way too fast. And he probably would have hit me if I didn't get up on my brake just enough to give him enough space to stop sliding and avoiding an impact with me. So awareness works, You know, And it helps you out in so many different ways. So if you practice this awareness in everything you do, Even if you do something wrong, You'll feel that it's wrong for one at the first essence. But if you do it anyway, You pay almost like an immediate karmic price for what you've done. If you're practicing awareness, You might do it once, You may do it twice. But I honestly say that you, It's hard to keep doing something wrong when you're practicing awareness, Because you'll see the stupidity of it. You'll see the, You'll see the, The awkwardness of it, You'll see that it's not with your best interest in mind. And you won't keep doing these things that are wrong. So the my, My definition, And I get it from Osho too, Is that what you do with awareness is right, And what you do with unawareness is wrong. So you're driving down the freeway and you get, You get in a hurry, Say there's waves and you want to get home really fast. And you, So you pick up the pedal and you push down a little harder and you're going, You're going about 80, 85 miles an hour down the freeway. I mean, Most of the people in Texas do that anyway, But now you've gotten caught up in the rat race. It's like we can be rats and live in this world, But we don't have to live in the rat race. So you catch yourself and you say, Hold on a minute, The waves will be there. I might as well enjoy this drive, You know, So crank up some music, Sit back and let off the gas pedal just a little bit. You can still get home in plenty of time, But you don't need to be unsafe and you don't need to do anything out of unawareness or put in a situation where you would do something or would have to do something out of awareness, Out of unawareness, I should say. I'm sorry. So yeah, Do these things, Practice awareness, Meditate, Keep your cup facing upwards so that you can receive divine inspiration or divine, I wouldn't say interception, But it does happen. God in a way guides you through life and through a higher consciousness when you tap into that higher consciousness. But like I said, If you think that you're going to be punished for doing the wrong things, The punishment comes in the form of instant karma. It doesn't come in the form of God lashing out at you and being mad at you. Like it says in the Bible, That God is a God of vengeance. It's not the way it works. When you come to know what godliness is, When you go through raising energy through your chakra systems and becoming what they call maybe a spiritual person, Or I would dare to say even a religious person, Although most religions, If you define a religion as that of someone who believes this or a certain set of beliefs, To me, Belief is wrong. Knowing is the right thing. And even if it's believing that you're doing something charitable or good, You have to question, Why are you doing these things good? Are you doing them for a reward? Are you doing them just to feel good about yourself? Like I said, There's nothing wrong with doing great things for other people, But a lot of times you have to get yourself right first. Get yourself on that track where you're heading towards the hub again, Heading towards godliness. Because you might not be. You might think you're doing great in life and you're charitable, You help your fellow man whenever you can and everything like that, But you're denying yourself of the ultimate reality. And I saw on Facebook, And I made a comment about this, Somebody made a beautiful post about us having higher selves. And at first I'm like, Yeah, That's a great idea. And they're saying your higher self is in contact with the universe, Is ultimate love, It's complete understanding or a higher understanding and all these things. And I'm like, Hold on a minute. Every enlightened person has all those things too. So I responded to the post saying that we blend with our higher selves and then we become godliness. Then we have the essence of God on earth and we enjoy, Like I said, Jumping out of planes and having God come with us. I don't know what God's going to say to me when I die. I mean, Hopefully I'll be given another chance to ride some more waves and live this life all over again, Because to me it was the greatest joy. Life has been a benediction since I turned my cup and started facing towards the center of the wheel instead of me being egotistical about everything and saying, Hey, Me, Me, Me, Me, More for me, Me, Me, Me. That's kind of the wrong way. But like I said, God showers on all of us. Even if your cup is facing the other way and you're facing away from the center of the hub and you won't be able to receive any messages, You won't be able to receive any guidance through divine messengers or whatever you might believe that helps you to get by and cope with life. I mean, Yeah, It'd be great to think that there are people out there that connect with divine energy and can connect with spirit guides or whatever. I have my doubts about spiritual guides as to how much they can help or interfere, Because even though people say, I talk to my spirit guides and I talk to Archangel Michael and all these things, If you talk to these angels and all these things, But yet you still don't know any of the hidden secrets of why we're here or if there's a heaven or where did the angels exist, If you don't know the answers to all those questions, Then are you really speaking to angels or divine angels or are you making those things up? That's not for me to decide or judge. If it helps you get by and brings you closer to God, Then I'd say just do it with awareness. If you think you're talking to spirit guides, Then be conscious and be aware. And then if you do that, I think only the right messages will come your way and help guide you through this life. I guess we'll end it there. Hey, Thanks again for joining me.
