In this meditation we'll reflect without judgment on the last 12 months.

Not only is it New Year's Eve when I'm recording this but it is also a new moon so it's the perfect time to set intentions.

Whenever you're listening to this it's the perfect opportunity to reflect on your day,

Week or month and set intentions for the future.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable position lying on your back with your legs slightly apart and your arms resting by your sides,

Palms facing upwards.

If you prefer you could sit in a comfortable position.

Allow your eyes to gently close.

Take a deep breath in,

Fill in your lungs fully and exhale slowly releasing any tension.

Let yourself settle here knowing you are exactly where you need to be.

Begin by bringing your attention to your breath.

Feel the rise and fall of your belly with each inhale and exhale.

As you breathe in imagine drawing in calmness and peace.

As you breathe out let go of any stress or lingering tension from the past year.

Let the breath cleanse you.

Now bring your awareness to the year that is ending.

Picture the last 12 months as a new year.

Imagine the moments in your mind like pages turning in a book.

Think of the highlights,

The lessons,

The challenges and the growth that you experienced.

Without judgment simply observe.

What moments stand out to you?

Take a little time to reflect on those moments honouring both the good and the tough parts as they've all shaped who you are today.

Allow yourself to feel gratitude for this year,

For everything it brought you.

The victories,

The struggles and the quiet moments in between.

Thank yourself for showing up through it all.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale send a wave of gratitude to your body and your mind for carrying you through the year.

Now as we prepare to step into the new year let's set an intention.

Think about what you want to bring into your life.

It could be a feeling,

A goal or a change you'd like to create in your life.

Maybe it's a commitment to self-care,

More joy or to embrace new opportunities with an open heart.

Allow your intention to emerge naturally without pressure.

Just listen quietly to what feels right for you.

Visualise this intention in your mind.

See it clearly as if it's already unfolding in your life.

Picture yourself living this intention with a sense of calm,

Purpose and alignment.

Imagine the feelings of joy,

Satisfaction or peace that come with living this intention.

Let the image of it grow brighter,

Clearer and more vivid.

Now place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.

Feel the warmth of your hands on your body.

Know that this intention is already a part of you.

With every breath it's becoming more and more real.

Imagine the energy of this intention expanding from your heart and flowing through your entire being.

As we come to the close of this practice take one final deep breath.

Inhale deeply,

Filling your body with light and exhale releasing any remaining tension.

Know that you're ready to step into the new year with a renewed sense of purpose,

With clarity and with the intention to live the year ahead with joy and ease.

When you're ready,

Gently begin to bring awareness back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Stretch your arms and legs and whenever it feels right open your eyes,

Carrying with you the intention you've set for the new year.
