Good morning I want to offer you a contemplation and a few perspectives that might really transform the way you interact with other humans today,
Including yourself.
So just to begin with I invite you to relax as much as possible your face and your shoulders and just settle just for a few minutes.
Settle in complete relaxation as far as is available to you.
And you might want to take a deeper inhalation and a deeper exhalation.
And just for a moment sense into the body that you're living in right now.
Sometimes when there's a lot going on for us,
We can get contracted into our own little bubble with our own worries and fears and sense of incompleteness and anxiety.
And then we might have a bit less access to friendliness and expansion.
And one way to expand is to literally expand,
To zoom out and to connect with a perspective that,
You know,
Beyond the worries of the day,
Beyond the stories of our lives,
We seem to be the most evolved of all the primates on this planet.
This planet which is this rock,
A very watery rock on the surface that is hurling through space for an unimaginable amount of time.
And if we are honest with ourselves,
Nobody really knows what's going on.
And we're all doing our best in this life,
On this world,
On this planet.
So if you zoom out to this stellar scale of reality,
Maybe you can have a sense of space around,
Whatever keeps you busy these days.
And at the same time,
Coming back to the organism that you are right now,
I believe that if we take really good care of ourselves,
Never leaving our own side,
We will automatically be more fulfilled.
So just right now,
I would invite you to check in with yourself and feel what do I actually really need today?
Do I need some connection?
Do I need more freedom?
Do I need rest?
Do I need some silence?
So just breathe for a few moments and just ask yourself the question,
What would I need today to be a little bit happier,
A little bit more fulfilled?
And if you're thinking about it,
I invite you to gently move towards checking in with your body.
So ask the question to your body,
Not your mind.
So just feel into your body and let the answer come.
You don't have to go get an answer.
Let the answer come like a bubble to the surface.
So maybe take one more deeper inhalation and then when you exhale,
Let the question sink down and then just sense in silence what comes up as a need for you,
A wish for today.
And an answer might come in a moment,
But it's also very likely that just asking the question and letting it sit there in your body will make an answer become apparent when today runs its course.
Just this question is already creating an attitude of self-care and self-compassion.
And as you go on about your day today and you see other humans,
I would invite you to take a moment and just reflect on the truth that they too have this inner life.
They are also organisms on a planet who don't exactly know what they're doing,
But they're doing their best.
We all have this innate vulnerability.
We all once were helpless,
Dependent babies,
Utterly lovable.
And sometimes when other humans in our lives don't exactly contribute to meeting our needs,
Could be a co-worker in the office who was agitated or somebody in traffic who was having a difficult day and making some poor judgments.
I would really love you to just take a breath and while caring for your own needs and speaking up if necessary,
Hold this clarity that we are all here in it together.
And as Jim Morrison once said,
No one here gets out alive.
We're all committed to this thing,
Even though most of us are not.
We're all the current fabric of humanity on this watery,
Rocky planet hurling through space,
Doing our best.
So this is what I would love to send you out into the world with today.
And yeah,
Maybe some both of us have a little bit of a different view of the world,
But maybe some bubbles come up today with ways to take care of yourself.
And hopefully,
You can see that,
You know,
Deep down we're all truly family on this planet.
And because of that,
Everybody you meet is a potential friend.
Have a good day.
