For alternate nostril breathing,

You can sit comfortably leaning back or lying down,

Bringing the right thumb to your right nostril and your pinky finger to your left nostril.

Now closing the left,

Breathing in through the right nostril,

Closing the right nostril,

Just holding your breath for a second.

Now exhaling through the open left nostril.

Inhaling through the left nostril.

Now closing the left,

Holding your breathing for a second,

And then exhaling through the right nostril.

And inhaling through the right nostril.

Just pausing for a second,

Closing your right nostril,

Opening up your left nostril,

Exhaling through the left.

Pausing for a second,

Inhaling through the left.

Pausing for a second,

Closing the left nostril and exhaling through the right.

Pausing for a second,

Inhaling through the open right nostril.

Closing the right nostril,

Pausing for a second,

Opening up the left,

Exhaling through the left.

Again,

Pausing and continuing this for as long as you're comfortable,

Bringing your mind,

Your awareness to your breathing.
