It's no secret life can feel so stressful sometimes.

So today I invite you to join me for just a few moments to release any stress or tension you may be carrying so that you can return to your day feeling lighter and more focused.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.

Allow yourself to just settle into it.

If it feels comfortable for you,

Maybe consider closing your eyes or softening your gaze.

When you are ready,

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Feeling the air reach down into your stomach.

Hold it for a moment and then slowly exhale.

Take another breath just like that on your own,

Giving yourself permission to rest here in this space,

Allowing your body to relax a little more with each breath you take.

When it feels comfortable for you,

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm.

I invite you to begin to shift your attention to your jaw.

Notice if there's any tightness or tension in this area.

With your next breath,

Consciously let go of any stress you may be holding in your jaw.

Exhale and allow your jaw to soften,

Releasing any tightness you may notice.

On your next inhale,

Slowly bring your focus to your facial muscles.

Use your breath to gently release any tension here.

Feel the stress leaving your forehead and notice the relaxation spreading to your eyes and cheeks.

Feel yourself becoming more and more at ease as you let go of any remaining stress in this area.

Now,

I invite you to direct your attention to your shoulders.

Take a moment to roll them back and let them drop away from your ears.

Allow your breath to continue in its natural rhythm as you sink into this relaxation,

Allowing each exhale to release more and more attention from your shoulders,

Feeling them become lighter,

Relaxed,

And allowing them to settle into their natural position.

Take a moment to appreciate this newfound lightness and relaxation in your shoulders.

Stay in this peaceful space you've created for just a little while longer,

Taking note of any differences you may feel at any point in your body.

When you are ready,

Take one final round of breath and begin to bring yourself back to the space around you.

When it is comfortable for you,

Slowly open your eyes.

As you return to your day,

Carry this sense of relaxation and ease with you.

Allow yourself to feel more at peace as you go through the remainder of your day.

Remember,

You can always come back to this space whenever you need another brief stress release.
