Welcome to this mindfulness meditation practice.
Continuing through our journey through the elements and our journey from gross to subtle.
Today coming to Ita,
Space,
Even more subtle than air and delight.
The vastness of the Ita element,
The vastness of open space and this sense of awe that that vastness provokes.
Ita is the space in which all other elements exist.
It brings with it an energy of allowance,
Acceptance,
Interbeing and reciprocity with other elements.
Perhaps bringing to mind how elements co-exist within all things.
A flower or a tree or a plant.
The earth in which it grows,
The rain that has watered it.
The warmth and the light of the sun that encourages growth.
The gases in the air,
The exchange of breath and then the space in which all of this can exist.
Ita allows for a spaciousness,
For clarity and reflection and ease and acceptance that allows us to be with all of it,
All at once.
So as you settle into your breathing here,
Following waves of breath,
Exchange of breath,
Noticing subtleties of breath.
Perhaps your awareness and your attention sinks down from doing,
Thinking and analyzing.
Into feeling,
Sensing and simply being.
Being with your body's own innate wisdom.
Letting go of a need to control.
You might experiment with letting go by breathing out and pausing and then feeling the subtlety of the automatic pull to draw breath back in again.
The wisdom of body,
Flow of breath.
Allow breath to return to its natural flow.
To find a space you can simply be in.
Follow the awareness of your breath to your throat.
Seat of throat chakra,
Vishuddha.
Seat of pure and clear harmonious energy.
Bridge between energy centers of the lower body.
Feeling grounded by earth at root.
Flowing with water at sacral.
Radiating with fire at solar plexus.
Heart space expansive with air.
An ease and a space in which all of that can be.
Your throat chakra is connected to our sense of self-expression.
Perhaps you notice when you feel centered.
In harmony with all other elements.
We're able to express ourselves with compassion,
Love,
Clarity and ease.
As you settle into your seat.
You can become aware of elements within body.
Grounded,
Flowing,
Radiating,
Expanding.
Become aware of the space around the body.
Beyond the boundary of your body.
Aware of sounds around you.
And layers of sound and sounds behind sounds.
Your attention beyond the confines of your body into vast space around you.
Noticing sounds arise and quieten.
The soundscape as vast and limitless as the sky of your own awareness.
Awareness expands infinitely outward.
Awareness as vast and clear and open as the sky.
Those sounds and then thoughts or feelings,
Emotions.
Pass through the sky of your awareness like clouds.
Vast awareness,
Balanced and compassionate,
Loving attention.
You can begin to bring your attention back from vast space around you.
Back to your body.
Back to your breath.
An affirmation that you could bring into your day.

I am the vastness of an open sky.
Everything else is just weather.
Connect once again to each element within your body.
Your grounded seat.
The flow of your breath.
And of your life.
Your inner fire.
Your expansive open heart.
Elements balanced in vast space of your own awareness.
