Good morning and welcome to this new day.
24 brand new hours that are full of potential,
That are ripe with possibility and you can tap into that.
How you choose to start your morning will inevitably lay the foundation for the rest of your day.
Taking these few short minutes to set simple,
Positive morning intentions for yourself.
This is an act of self-love,
Centering your attention around what is really important in this precious life and igniting a spark of inspiration and lightness to carry with you as you move throughout your day.
What you choose to focus on will expand.
So let's begin this practice just by getting comfortable wherever you are right now.
Perhaps you're already sitting at your breakfast table with a cup of coffee,
Maybe standing in the window soaking up some morning sunshine,
Or maybe you're still laying in bed ready to meet the day.
It really makes no difference where you find yourself right now,
But ensure that you can take the next few minutes undisturbed,
Responsible for nothing else,
For nobody else other than yourself.
And then close your eyelids down and relax the muscles of your forehead.
Decompress the muscles in and around your eyes.
Soften,
Soften.
Relax the jaw and let the shoulders drop down away from the ears,
Releasing and letting go of any burdens that you may have still been carrying there from yesterday or the days before.
See if you can encourage your entire body to embody this relaxation and ease,
Setting the tone for this meditation and for today.
Sweetly allow the corners of your lips to slightly curl upwards,
Bringing a soft smile to your face.
A simple gesture that within just a few seconds has innumerable benefits for your mental,
Emotional,
And physical health.
The power of a smile.
And then very slowly and very mindfully draw one of your hands up to your chest and rest your palm over top of your heart,
Connecting to clothing or skin,
And pressing in just enough that you can actually begin to tune in and feel your heart beating,
This pulse in your chest.
And as your hand rests here,
Eyes closed,
Body still,
Begin to draw a deep,
Full breath in through your nose.
Fill up,
Fill up,
Fill up.
And then part your lips,
Open your mouth,
And sigh the air away with a haaaa sound.
And do that again,
Breathing in as deeply as you can through your nose and then parting the lips when you reach the top,
Opening the mouth and haaaa the air away.
Just do that a couple more times in your own pace,
Letting the exhale make sound,
Specifically this haaaa sound,
Toning that connects specifically to our heart center,
This wellspring of love,
Forgiveness,
And truth that lives right inside our chest.
Take one last audible exhale to release,
To let go,
To sigh anything that might be left inside of you out,
Breathing it all away.
And then allow the breath to return back to a normal state.
And if it feels more comfortable,
You can release the hand down or leave it where it is on your chest.
Begin to get clear on how you want to feel as you move through this day.
What would a perfect you on a perfect day look and feel like?
How do you want to show up today and feel that to be true deeply inside your body?
How do you want to feel?
Maybe light,
Optimistic,
Maybe you want to feel courageous and inspired with as much detail as you can.
Visualize yourself moving through this day with ease and with grace.
And call in any and all of the qualities that will assist you today.
Just allow them to be breathed into you with every breath that you take in.
Just breathe them in.
Positivity,
Calmness,
Joy,
Creativity,
Anything and everything that will make today the most ideal day for you.
And any one feeling,
Any one quality that is resonating deeply right now,
Allow it to bubble to the surface and blossom into a short present tense statement,
Beginning with I am.
And you fill it in.
I am patient.
I am kind.
Whatever it is that will support you today,
Just repeating that silently a few times to yourself in your own mind's eye,
Letting the words resonate deep within you.
Every muscle,
Every tissue,
Every cell feels that to be true.
And taking one last final deep breath into the body through the nose,
Fill up and sigh the air away.
Whenever you feel ready,
Beginning to float,
To flutter your eyelids open,
Keeping your gaze very low and soft to begin with,
And welcoming yourself back into this space and into this day.
Have an amazing day.
You deserve it.
And you can return back to this meditation each and every morning.
I hope to connect with you again tomorrow.
Namaste.
