Hello my friends.

I'm so excited to be here with you today.

So excited that you have decided to take a little bit of time to bring yourself down,

To relax,

To come back to somewhere where you feel safe,

Secure,

And hopefully very,

Very loved.

Today we're gonna do a body scan meditation,

Which means that we are going to slowly go through the parts of our body,

Relaxing them bit by bit in hopes that you might be able to fall asleep.

Altogether let's take a deep breath in and let it go.

How good does it feel to let it go?

For me,

When I'm able to let it go and let that breath flow out of my mouth,

It just feels like everything's going to be okay.

All the worries,

All the anxieties that bubble up,

They slowly become less powerful.

We breathe in,

As we breathe out maybe we say everything's going to be okay.

We're gonna start with our feet,

Those beautiful feet that sometimes will take you where you need to go,

But sometimes will be still and patient even when you want to run.

We must be grateful for our feet and notice what they feel like.

Maybe you decide to move your toes a little bit.

Let's breathe in and as we breathe out,

Let them be heavy,

Let them sink into whatever surface you're on.

We come to our legs,

Our knees,

Our thighs,

Our legs do so much for us.

They are like tall,

Strong tree trunks that allow us to stand up and allow us to feel that strength coming from the earth.

We put so much on this part of our body,

Let's give it a break.

Breathing in all the way,

Letting it go,

Letting it be heavy,

Letting it be soft.

It's like we're giving our legs a little hug,

Telling them that we love them,

But that they get to rest now.

Our hips,

Notice what our hips feel like and our bellies,

Another part that we put through quite a bit.

Our bellies that let us eat and digest the amazing awesome food that we get to eat.

Can you maybe put your hands on your belly,

Feel the warm squishy lovely energy that comes from the center of your body and maybe with your hands and maybe even with your words can you say you've done a great job,

You can rest.

You've done a great job,

You can rest.

Next we come to our chest,

Our lungs,

Our beating heart.

So much of who we are lies within this part of our bodies.

All together let's breathe in and maybe we feel our chest tighten.

Notice what it feels like,

Just notice.

Let it sink,

Let it relax,

Let it calm,

Let it have a break.

Amazing.

Your shoulders and your arms,

We breathe in,

We breathe out and they become heavy.

Our hands,

Those beautiful hands that do so much for us,

Maybe feel them for a moment.

Your fingers,

Your palms,

Your wrists,

These incredible things that we've got to help us feel the sand between our fingers,

Roll cookie dough between our palms,

These amazing hands.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Take all the pressure off your hands.

They have done a great job,

They are done for the day.

We're now gonna come to our neck and our head.

Our neck which holds our head,

Holds us up so often.

Let's let it go,

Breathing in all the way.

Letting it go,

Letting your neck relax and your head relax.

Hopefully you are able to support both.

And the last thing,

The last bit of our bodies that I want to release is our face.

What smiles to others,

The way we express the words that we need to say,

All together let's scrunch up our face really really really tight.

Scrunch it up,

Breathe in,

Breathe in,

Breathe in,

Breathe in and oh let it out,

Let it go.

Maybe you don't need to do anything fancy with your face and you can just let it be.

You can just let it exist.

Notice your body,

Notice the way that every beautiful unique part of your body fits together to create somebody who can experience life in this world and the good things like you can.

All together let's breathe in all the way.

As we let it out,

Let your whole body relax into whatever surface you're on.

Your whole body,

Your feet,

Your legs,

Your hips,

Your stomach,

Your chest,

Your arms,

Your wrists,

Your hands,

Your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your head,

Your face,

Your smile.

You are exactly where you are supposed to be and I am grateful that you took this time to let yourself rest and be sleepy.

Proud of you.

Thank you for being here.
