You've been eating and by some miracle you've pushed the start button to listen to this audio.
Some part of you is aware you're doing something that doesn't serve you.
Where the accelerator is pushed down to the floor and so is the break.
You're aware that something doesn't serve you but it's not because you shouldn't do it.
It's not because you're not allowed to do it.
It's not because it's against the rules and regulations.
You're doing it even if all those rules exist.
So something is breaking through wanting to be seen,
Felt,
Understood.
So two things to notice here.
One is sometimes if you've been restricting something within yourself,
Restricting food itself,
Preventing yourself from eating,
Holding tight and bracing against food and the desire for food and potentially under eating.
This might be an act of demand for nourishment from the body.
So simply noticing if that might be the case.
Just makes sense in this world where the flow of food coming in and out is in right balance for the body in general.
Again this moment comes alive because there is restriction somehow emotionally.
You can ask yourself,
What is this activity of eating here to assist me with?
What is it wanting to help me out with?
How was I undernourishing myself emotionally?
Or is this eating activity here to help me with difficult feelings,
Heartbreak,
Anger,
Fear?
What kind of food do you notice you're engaged with?
What qualities do these foods bring to life?
What flavors?
If you're eating sweet,
Smooth,
Creamy,
Cool,
What was sour,
Gritty,
Harsh,
Hot about life according to your mind and your thinking and your awareness in the moment or hours before putting this food into your moment?
What needed smoothing out?
What needed softening and sweetening?
Ask yourself if it's another kind of food you're engaged with.
What are the qualities of that food?
What's the name of this food?
Is there something internally emotionally that you weren't receiving,
That you weren't willing to take in and eat that had nothing to do with food?
As you notice and become willing to see that this eating appeared to help you,
Even if you're not sure how,
Just trust that there is wisdom in this eating rising in this moment.
Can you just relax a moment?
See if you could consider stopping.
This is not because you should stop.
It's the right thing to stop.
It's only about freedom and having the option.
We'd only ever do that and consider stopping if you can touch this moment with compassion and kindness.
The unconditional loving container of human life and energy that you actually are.
No one wants a binge to end if when it ends,
You yell at yourself with violence,
Hatred,
Aggression,
Thinking you're worthless.
No one wants to set down the food if all you think you're going to do when you stop is,
I told you so,
Have shame appear or terror or grief to meet you.
But those feelings and thoughts are only feelings and thoughts.
They're not who you are.
You are health,
Peace,
The one who reaches for balance and energy of balance wants to come alive in you and that's what's been happening.
Something in you became unbalanced with thoughts and feelings.
The mind panicked and went to hunt down what it thought might be missing,
What could help,
Immediate pleasure like food.
There's an intelligence in that to reach for food when you were believing what you were thinking,
What you were feeling.
So now can you just be with the feelings and thoughts and notice you're safe no matter what.
You're supported.
You can do this.
What if you had all you need right now?
What if nothing is missing?
What is this moment like when there is no problem?
What's here now when there is no problem?
