Hello my beautiful soul and welcome to this inner child meditation.

This is a soft invitation to journey into your heart and meet your inner child with compassion,

Safety and love.

Let's begin.

Go ahead and find a comfortable position for this meditation.

You may sit on the floor,

On your bed,

On a sofa or on a chair,

Wherever feels supportive for you today.

If you choose to sit,

You can place your feet flat on the ground or sit in a lotus position.

Let your arms rest comfortably,

Hands or palms facing upwards,

Resting on your thighs.

If you prefer to lie down that's fine too,

Just make sure you're able to stay awake and present.

Now when you're ready,

Gently close your eyes if that feels safe for you today.

If not,

Simply soften your gaze and look down at the floor in front of you.

Take a moment now to come into your centre.

Let your shoulders drop and clench your jaw,

Soften your face.

Feel your body being held,

Your seat on the chair,

The fabric of your clothes against your skin,

The surface beneath you,

Your legs,

Your arms.

Simply notice your body.

Now bring your attention to the space behind your eyes and between your ears,

The centre of your mind.

This is your inner room,

Your own private space,

Your safe here.

No one else can enter unless you invite them.

If you sense anyone else in this space,

Gently ask them to leave,

But you should be on your own.

This room belongs only to you.

Now imagine taking your favourite colour paint and begin to paint the walls of this room with that colour.

Let it fill the space completely.

And once you're done,

Take a marker and sign your name on the walls,

The ceiling and the floor.

This is your space.

It is claimed.

It is yours.

Take a deep inhale.

And exhale.

Another slow breath in.

And out.

Relax into this space.

Now imagine a door appearing in front of you.

As the door slowly opens,

You notice a staircase leading downwards.

This staircase leads into your heart.

It is completely safe.

Go ahead and begin to walk down the staircase slowly and gently.

You move past the back of your head,

Down through your throat,

Descending deeper and deeper.

Until you arrive at the centre of your chest,

The space where your heart lives.

Here you see another door.

This door is the entrance to your heart.

Check your pocket.

You'll find a key there.

Only you have this key.

Take a moment now to ask your heart for permission to enter.

And when you feel ready,

Unlock the door and gently step inside.

As you enter your heart space,

Take a moment to observe.

What do you see?

What do you feel?

Does it look like a room?

A valley?

Mountains?

A beach?

A forest?

A library maybe?

Only you know what your heart looks and feels like.

This is where your emotions live.

Your memories.

Your life force.

Your connections.

Your soul.

Take some time now to look around this beautiful space.

Notice how vast it is.

Your heart is as vast as the universe.

Now from this heart space,

Gently call your inner child forward.

You can say their name.

Or you might say something like,

Little one,

Can you come forward?

I'd like to speak with you.

Call them gently.

Invite them to come and meet you.

Let them come towards you.

When they arrive,

Sit down with them.

Wherever you are in this heart space,

You may sit on the floor together next to each other or maybe facing one another.

And as you sit together,

Take a deep inhale and exhale.

Now ask them softly,

What do you want me to know?

What scares you?

What feelings are you holding inside?

What is it that you're not saying?

Tell them you're here to listen.

Tell them they're safe.

Tell them nothing bad is going to happen.

Simply listen.

Ask them,

What do you do to keep yourself safe?

What do you do to feel loved or accepted?

What are you suppressing?

Now give them space to speak.

You don't need to fix anything.

You don't need to judge or analyze.

Just listen.

If you feel cold,

You can hold their hands.

Or you can hug them.

Be the presence they needed back then.

Be the parent they needed.

Hold the space they didn't have.

When they finish sharing,

Give them a big hug.

Tell them you're doing your best now.

Tell them you're grown.

Tell them they're safe with you.

Let them know that they don't need to hold on to these emotions anymore.

You've got them now.

They can release.

Ask them one more time.

One more question.

If you could receive one gift from me as an adult,

What would it be?

See what they show you.

Listen to their answer.

And then set the intention to honor their gift in your life.

Before you leave,

Give them another hug.

Reassure them.

Let them feel safe,

Seen and loved.

You may imagine leaving them playing,

Drawing,

Laughing,

Having fun.

Send them your love.

And then when you're ready,

Gently move back towards the door of your heart.

Step outside and softly lock the door.

Your inner child is safe inside of your heart.

Now begin walking back up the staircase.

Up through your chest.

Your throat.

The back of your head.

Until you arrive once more at the center of your mind.

Return to your inner room.

And once you're there,

Take a deep breath in.

Now slowly bring your awareness back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers,

Your toes.

Feel the room around you.

And finally,

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Welcome back,

Beautiful soul.

I would suggest taking a few minutes to just reflect on what has come up for you during this meditation.

Maybe take your journal.

Write your thoughts down.

Wherever you go,

Carry your inner child with you.

Let them feel loved and seen.

Thank you for taking this time for you today.

And thank you for letting me be your guide.

I wish you a beautiful day ahead to both you and your inner child.
