In this meditation, you'll use words and visualization to clear each chakra, one at a time. The technique came to me when I had a particular emotion that felt stuck in my root chakra. It wasn't wanting to release and let go! The visualization worked very well and you can use this whenever you feel your energy is blocked or out of balance. I hope you'll find it helpful too.

Welcome to this meditation to help unblock your chakras.

My name is Glenda and this is a method that I've used myself and found to be very helpful.

We're going to work our way up from the root taking time at each energy center.

You'll imagine that you're pulling out whatever it is that's blocking that chakra,

Almost like playing a tug-of-war.

I've experienced some different sensations or tools appearing at different spots,

For example,

Like scraping mud into a bucket.

So be ready to tackle it in whatever way comes up for you.

Let's begin by getting comfortable and just taking some nice easy breaths.

Just breathing and settling in.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and let that go.

And again.

Our root chakra represents our relationship with the physical world,

Our physical body,

The material world.

It helps us feel grounded.

It's our feelings of survival,

Our physical existence on this planet.

Feelings of safety and security are here.

Conversely,

This is where feeling like a victim resides,

Feeling disrespected or violated.

Take a moment and think of a word or two or more that may represent a challenge in that area.

Example,

Fears,

Feeling overwhelmed or like you're not grounded,

Feeling unsettled or like you're all over the place in your mind or your actual being,

Worries about your security or safety,

Insecurity and fears around money,

Income or other physical items.

Now imagine that you're pulling on those words as though they're on the end of a rope.

I want you to pull or grab them.

You might be doing it one word at a time or bundling them all together.

Now imagine the area being filled with a red light or mist or the color red.

You may not see it but you can imagine it filling up the space that you just finished pulling those words out of.

Sit with that for a moment.

Moving up to the navel or the sacral chakra where our creativity sits,

Our sexuality connected to our five physical senses,

Our feelings,

Emotions,

The ability to accept change,

The place where our ideas are born.

Take a moment to think of whatever might be there.

When it's not working properly it can come out as resentment,

Aggression,

Manipulation,

Bearing emotions,

Not trusting.

What is stuck there?

When I've done this for myself I've also experienced feeling like I was mired in muck so I was scraping all of the mud into buckets and pulling it out that way.

You may find you have similar or different experiences at each chakra.

Whatever method it takes imagine that you're physically pulling that out.

If it helps you can repeat the words and just imagine that you are pulling them or scraping them out of there.

Now imagine that vacated area being filled with orange,

A mist,

Light,

Color and energy.

At some point as that's filling up imagine it blending with the red of the root chakra just touching edge to edge and moving up to our solar plexus chakra.

This is where we put into action the ideas that come to us in the navel chakra.

It's your power center,

Your self-definition,

Self-esteem,

Where we find the ability to manifest our dreams and our hopes,

Our willpower,

Lack of self-confidence or trust in ourself can show up here.

A lack of energy,

Feeling stuck,

Not realizing or having a sense of purpose,

Self-consciousness.

Take a moment.

What's showing up for you here?

Now do the same thing.

A tug-of-war.

Pull it out.

Imagine hand over hand pulling or scraping.

You've got to get it out of there.

Now you can imagine a nice open space filling with a beautiful yellow golden glow.

And as it fills up again there's that misty area where it meets the orange of the sacral chakra and the orange meets the red.

Now we come to our heart chakra,

The seat of our self-acceptance,

Love,

Feeling loved,

Feeling unloved,

Feeling judged,

Afraid to let go.

It can also be where we feel sorry for ourself.

It's our emotional well-being,

The ability to have compassion and empathy,

Jealousy,

Possessiveness,

Demanding,

Being critical,

Indecisive.

These can all reside here too.

It could be feelings of criticism.

Find the words or feelings or emotions that you need to take care of here.

Now grab,

Hold and pull them out in whatever manner works for you.

Now grab,

Hold and pull them out in whatever manner works for you.

Now visualize the color green filling that space as it's pouring in,

Filling all of the nooks and crannies.

Once again it is softly meeting the yellow of the solar plexus,

Meeting with the orange of the navel which meets with the red of the root.

Our throat chakra,

The seat of our communication,

Balancing,

Being able to have a voice,

The positive,

The negative.

When it's blocked,

Communication is difficult or impossible.

We can be self-righteous or have a closed mind,

Unable to express ourselves or manipulative.

Fear can reside here as well,

Forcing opinions on others,

Feeling like you're not able to speak your truth.

Take a moment to see what you feel is here,

What needs to be moved so that you can have a voice and speak your truth and feel confident in doing so.

Now feel or see or sense yourself removing whatever it is that's in your way.

Now you can imagine a beautiful sky blue color filling the area of your throat,

Giving you back your voice.

As it becomes full again it touches the edge of the green of the heart,

The yellow,

The orange,

The red of the root.

We're creating a channel,

A beautiful rainbow of light flowing up our center,

Following the spine up through our energy centers.

The third eye chakra,

The seat of our intuition,

Our ability to see and have self-reflection.

We believe in ourselves when it's working well.

When it's not,

We can be over sensitive or meek,

Afraid of success.

We can be manipulative or dogmatic or fearful that we can't trust our own intuition or what we're thinking.

We're unsure or disbelieving of our own inner wisdom.

What is in your way?

When you have what it is,

Clear it out and see it leaving.

So now imagine a beautiful purple or indigo,

A deep deep blue flooding the area,

Bringing belief in yourself.

And as it floods in it meets up with the beautiful blue of the throat,

The green of the heart,

The yellow of the solar plexus,

The orange of the navel,

And the red of the root.

A beautiful channel of energy and light.

And we move to the crown chakra,

Our connection to the divine,

Our connection to knowing,

Trusting our inner wisdom.

Knowing that we are all one,

We aren't separate.

There is no need to compare ourselves to anyone else.

This can also be the seat of cynicism,

Apathy,

Or disconnection from your spirituality,

Confusion about what you want to do in life,

Or a lack of inspiration.

Take a moment and allow that space at the top of your head,

The crown,

To open up.

You can imagine that there sits the thousand petaled lotus flower,

The petals unfurling to reveal a violet or white light.

Imagine that light flooding into the space and all the way down,

Flooding over all of the other colors in the channel that you created,

Over the indigo,

The blue,

The green,

The yellow,

The orange,

The red.

Inhale and feel the white light traveling all the way down to your root.

And as you exhale,

Feel it traveling back up,

That you now have this clear channel.

But if it feels like the light is getting blocked somewhere in one of the chakras that we cleared,

Take a moment to feel if there are any remnants left.

And if so,

Take a moment to pull them out.

If something is lingering,

Try to remove it.

If it feels like the light,

The energy is flowing unimpeded,

Continue to breathe and feel the energy flowing from crown to root and back again.

Begin to let everything start to settle and feel like it's settling into place,

Working as it should.

Perhaps feeling renewed,

Feeling a little more open.

And when you feel that it's complete,

Come back.

But if you feel that it needs more time,

Take the time that you need.

If you need to go back and revisit one of those chakras,

You can do that.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

Namaste.
