Welcome to your meditation today.

This is Gil Elhart and today's meditation will help alleviate anxiety and stress in your life by utilizing your breath to help promote ease,

Relaxation,

And feelings of joyfulness.

Let's begin.

Come to a comfortable seated position or relax lying down.

Make any adjustments so that you can feel comfortable and situated without needing to adjust your posture.

Place your hands onto your abdomen so you can feel the movement of your breath and feel the movement of your diaphragm rising and falling.

Begin to slow down your breath and in so doing,

Slow down your mind.

Often feelings of anxiousness,

Of worry,

Of stress and doubt come when the mind is overactive.

Giving the mind a focal point,

The breath for example,

Is calming.

It's nourishing to our mind and to our nervous system.

So with hands on the abdomen,

The breath in expands.

The belly presses out lightly into your hands.

The breath out,

The belly pulls back.

The breath in lifts and widens your chest.

The breath out relaxes any tension from your neck and your shoulders.

Feel and welcome your inhale inviting in elongation in the spine,

A brighter physical posture and mental clarity.

And your breath out sending out any negative thoughts or emotions.

So on your own now,

Use your inhale to welcome in what you need in this moment.

On your out breath,

Send out anything that you're carrying that is a burden.

Set it down.

Breathe in what you need.

Breathe out what is no longer serving you.

Continue with this now for a few moments.

Okay.

Okay.

As this process unfolds,

Allow for simplicity.

Can you foster an ease in the practice?

When there is force,

This begins to bring in anxiousness,

Worry,

Tension.

With focus on the breath,

Creating a simple way of being in your body,

In your mind in this moment,

You welcome balance,

Equity,

Harmony.

The breath naturally restoring you to these ways of being clear,

Of being humble,

Of being content.

So for the next few moments,

Welcome in this idea of contentment.

The practice of contentment,

Santosha.

When we are here abiding in this space,

It's impossible to feel anxious,

To feel fearful,

To feel worried.

Instead,

We replace these emotions,

These concepts with feeling stable,

Centered at peace.

Breathe in these things that you need,

That you want in your life.

Breathe out the things that you don't want to promote.

Spend one final minute breathing in all the things that bring you joy,

That bring you light in your life and sending out anything that you no longer need.

Stay with your breath now.

As you come out of the meditation,

Observe how your body has responded to this meditation.

Do you feel greater ease,

Greater balance?

Notice mentally and emotionally if you feel more stable and grounded,

If you feel lighter,

More clear.

Thank you so much for sharing your meditation with me today.

Namaste.
