Welcome to your meditation today.
This is Gil Elhart and I'll be guiding you through a simple meditation to help promote balance.
Balance in your life.
Balance physically,
Mentally and emotionally.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Make any adjustments,
Relax your shoulders,
Relax your face.
Shift your attention to the flow of your breath.
Draw the breath in and out through your nose.
We'll seek balance using the breath as a resource.
So notice first any imbalance.
Is the inhale perhaps longer than the exhale?
Is the exhale perhaps a little bit longer than the inhale?
You may notice perfect balance perhaps,
But you may notice imbalance which could be the duration of your breath or the volume.
So let's seek to promote equilibrium using your own internal count.
That count might be to number three or four and it'll sound like this.
I'll guide you through a couple rounds.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Continue on your own for a few minutes.
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Over the course of the next minute,
Begin to dissolve the internal count in your mind.
The breath achieves a state of equity,
Of equilibrium,
And continue to just keep a light awareness on maintaining that balance in your breath.
And as the breath finds its natural pathway,
Restoring balance,
So does the body,
So does the mind,
So do the emotions.
So you'll continue the practice of a balanced breath but without needing to count it.
A natural state of balance.
IIt does feature in 4-urf excellent 9-iniz Transit flavour.
Continue the process of welcoming and restoring balance into your breath and into your mind.
Observe physically how your body is responding.
Perhaps in your posture you might have been leaning off to one side or a little forward or back.
Perhaps your posture has realigned back into a neutral position,
A more harmonious position.
So we'll spend about another minute just feeling for balance in the physical body,
Within the breath and fostering equilibrium in the mind.
Gradually allow your breath to deepen.
Again staying with balance in your inhale and exhale.
I hope that this balance meditation has helped create some ease in your body,
Within your mind.
Return you back to your natural state of harmony,
Of equity.
May you carry this balance with you into the remainder of your day and into the remainder of your life.
Namaste.
