Welcome to Day 19.
Often the negative habits and addictive behaviors we engage in can cause us to accumulate physical and emotional toxicity.
Releasing whatever toxicity is obstructing the free flow of vital energy in our bodies and mind is essential to us having any lasting joy and well-being in our lives.
When dealing with addictions,
This is particularly important because it is often when we aren't feeling like joy and well-being are present in our lives that we attempt to reduce our uncomfortable feelings by engaging in a compulsive behavior that brings us initial pleasure but leaves us stuck with long-term consequences.
Knowing this,
It is imperative that we begin making life-supporting choices that stop the flow of any new toxicity and eliminate any already existing toxicity in our body and minds.
With that being said,
Life-supporting choices produce rather than lessen our physical and emotional well-being.
And the best choice we believe anyone can make to maximize nourishment and minimize toxicity for themselves is to meditate.
Through meditation,
We can actually reverse the effects of accumulated toxicity in our body and minds.
The reason for this is because when we meditate,
Our body returns to its baseline state,
Homeostasis.
Homeostasis is the body's way of repairing itself in seeking a state of inner balance,
Meaning anything out of balance starts to shift back into balance.
Therefore,
Through cultivating the habit of regular meditation,
We can actually reverse the effects of accumulated toxicity in our body and minds and move ourselves into a state of greater well-being.
Ultimately,
This means that if we meditate,
We can heal,
Release that which no longer serves us,
And live more easily and effortlessly,
Which will then make it less likely that we'll seek to relieve discomfort through negative habits and addictive behaviors.
Now,
Let's prepare to meditate.
Begin by finding a comfortable seat and closing your eyes.
Now begin to become aware of your breath,
Not focusing or concentrating.
Just simply watch the breath as it effortlessly flows in and out.
Now,
Easily and effortlessly,
Begin silently repeating today's mantra,
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Continue to repeat this mantra,
Om Aham Nama.
And whenever you notice yourself distracted by thoughts,
Noises,
Or physical sensations,
Simply return your attention to silently repeating the mantra,
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Please continue with your meditation.
I will watch the time,
And when it is time to end our meditation,
You will hear me ring a soft chime.
When you hear the chime,
Stop repeating the mantra and continue sitting quietly with your eyes closed.
Enjoy your meditation.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.

Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
Om Aham Nama.
It is time to release silently repeating the mantra Om Aham Nama and continue sitting quietly with your eyes closed.
Now begin to bring some slight movement into your body wiggling your fingers and toes.
Whenever it feels comfortable slowly open your eyes.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day and I look forward to meditating with you again tomorrow for day 20 of navigating recovery and overcoming adversity.
Namaste.
