Welcome in this Yoga Nidra for Throat Chakra.

Today I will be connecting to the space of your throat and healing any blockages that you might be experiencing,

Mostly with communication and expressing yourself.

We'll be relaxing the whole body,

Creating new healthy thoughts and opening yourself up to a pure expression of unconditional love.

Relax your whole body Now make yourself comfortable for this practice laying down on your back,

Relaxing your whole body,

Adjusting any pillows,

Any blankets and making yourself ready for a deep rest.

The Vishuddha or Throat Chakra is the fifth chakra of the seven main chakras in your body and it acts as a space of communication.

It's where you find your voice,

Speak your truth,

Appreciate yourself and others,

Speak up and express yourself just how you want it.

But it's also about the ability to hear and listen and be heard.

So through this chakra,

Through unblocking this space we connect to clarity,

To truth,

Responsibility for our words.

It affects your ability to be honest and express your thoughts and when it's blocked you might feel difficulty in communicating,

In speaking what you really think,

In clear expression in relationships,

When you often feel pain of your neck and shoulders,

When your jaw is very tense and you clench your teeth.

This chakra might be blocked but through awareness,

Through love and openness to peace and truth you can unblock all these energies and enjoy your life with more freedom.

So let's start by setting an intention for this practice,

Our sankalpa.

Simply repeat it three times,

Quietly or out loud.

I express myself clearly and openly with love and confidence.

Let these words just sink into the space as you start relaxing your whole body more and more.

Starting with your head today,

Relaxing,

Releasing the tension from the back of your head,

From the top and sides of your head,

Releasing any mental noise and heaviness,

Relaxing through your facial muscles,

Your forehead,

Your right cheek,

Your left cheek,

The insides of your cheeks,

Your right eye,

Your left eye,

The right eyelid and the space behind your eye,

The left eyelid and the space behind your left eye,

The right nostril,

The left nostril,

The space inside your nose.

Feel the inside of your nose as you breathe in and breathe out,

Softening your top and bottom lip,

Your tongue,

Relax the front and the back of your tongue,

The space of your throat,

The inside of your mouth,

Your gums,

Softening through your jaw as well,

Relaxing the right side and the left side of your jaw,

Relaxing these muscles,

Unclenching your teeth,

Feel the space inside your mouth and inside your throat,

Relaxing through your right ear and the space inside your ear,

The left ear,

Your earlobe,

The space inside your ear.

Be aware of your ear canals as you keep listening to my voice,

Focusing only on a deeper and deeper relaxation,

Noticing the space of your neck,

Relaxing the back of your neck and every vertebrae of your cervical spine,

Relaxing the right and left side of your neck and the front of your neck as well,

Feeling more space in your front and in your throat as you keep breathing deeply and as you're relaxing through your throat as well,

Connect to the space of your throat chakra,

This energy center.

Imagine a blue shining light healing your throat,

Healing any pain,

Any discomfort.

Relax through your right shoulder as well,

The upper shoulder,

Your right shoulder blade,

The right top of your arm,

The elbow,

The forearm,

Your wrist,

Your right hand,

The inside of your right hand and the backside of your hand.

Relax your pinky finger,

Ring finger,

Middle finger,

Index finger and your thumb as well,

Your whole right arm just resting now and then your left arm,

The top of your arm,

Your shoulder,

Your shoulder blade,

The upper arm,

The left elbow,

The left forearm,

Your wrist,

Your left inner palm and the outer palm and every finger of your left hand,

The little finger,

Ring finger,

Middle finger,

Index finger and your thumb as well.

Just let your whole left arm totally relax now.

Feel your back just lying on the surface underneath you.

Be aware of the surface,

Is it cold or warm,

Is it soft or hard?

Let your whole back be connected to the earth now,

Relaxing through your upper back,

Your middle back and your lower back,

Relaxing the muscles alongside your spine.

Take a few breaths now to relax and scan through every vertebrae of your spine,

Let it be still,

Let it rest and connect and then lower through your glutes,

Soften your right and your left glutes,

The back of your right thigh,

The back of the knee,

Your calf,

Your right ankle,

Right heel,

The sole of your right foot,

The top of your foot and every toe of your right foot,

All relaxing now.

Then the front of your leg,

The ankle,

The shin bone and the muscles around it,

Your right knee,

The inside of your knee,

The right thigh,

The inner and outer thigh,

Your right hip,

The whole right leg from the front and back,

Totally relaxing now.

And then the back of your left leg,

Feeling your left glute and then the left back of your thigh,

The back of your knee,

The left calf,

The ankle,

The left heel,

The sole of your foot,

The top of your foot and every toe of your left foot now,

All relaxing.

And then the front of your left leg,

The left shin bone and muscles around it,

The left knee,

The left thigh,

The inner thigh and the outer thigh,

The left hip,

Softening through your whole left leg now,

Totally relaxed through the front and back of your leg.

And then just relaxing,

Opening through your groin,

Through your lower belly,

Feel your belly rising and relaxing as you breathe,

The space behind your belly button,

Your ribcage on the right and the left side,

Your chest as it keeps expanding when you breathe in and contracting when you breathe out.

Now,

Your whole front is totally relaxed,

The front of your legs,

The front of your arms,

The front of your torso and your whole face and then the whole back of your body relaxing as well,

The back of your head,

Of your neck,

Your whole back and your spine and your legs as well.

Your whole body totally relaxing now,

Your whole body totally relaxing.

Now,

Let's come back to the breath again and come back to your throat chakra.

In the centre of your throat,

Imagine a lotus with 16 petals,

A beautiful blue flower shining with a healing light.

Feel this energy in your throat and for the next breaths,

You're going to imagine breathing in through the space of the throat,

Breathing out through the space of the throat,

Let this inner blue light expand.

You're going to count your breaths now,

Inhale on 1,

Exhale on 1,

Inhale 2 and exhale 2.

Keep going like this till you reach 11,

Only focusing on your breath.

Alright,

Now let go of this count right now,

Totally relaxing,

Melting down deeper and deeper to the space of deep rest and healing.

And as your throat space is activated now through your awareness,

We're going to connect to a few affirmations that will strengthen your inner will of expressing yourself with truth,

With openness,

That will clear any inner throat blockages.

Repeat these affirmations just quietly in your mind,

My voice matters,

My words are powerful,

I effectively and openly speak my truth,

I live an honest,

Authentic life,

I speak with clarity and confidence,

I speak with courage and compassion,

I embrace silence and know deep inner peace,

I remain true to myself in all that I say and do,

It is safe for me to show my true self to the world,

I speak from a place of love and understanding,

I am patient with myself and others,

My ideas and my presence matter,

I am honest and clear,

I radiate calm,

Peace and light,

I release the need to be perfect and embrace my beautifully imperfect self,

I am not afraid to be vulnerable,

I am confident and open and believe in myself,

My throat chakra is coming back to balance,

I am pure unconditional love,

Stay in the space of pure clarity,

Openness and love for a little while,

Resting deeper and deeper in the space of awareness and I invite you now to just keep relaxing here,

Keep breathing,

Keep relaxing as you are sinking deeper and deeper to a peaceful rest,

Maybe to a peaceful sleep,

Always remembering that your ideas,

Your words really matter,

That you are important in this world,

That you are so unique and special,

Let this energy of light,

Courage and creativity and inspiration to express yourself just as you want it,

Let this energy flow through you freely as you are totally opening up to your inner power,

To gratitude,

To be exactly where you are here and now.
