Good evening,
Welcome to this relaxing meditation.
This yoga nidra practice today will be focused on connecting to our root chakra,
Healing this energy center through opening up more to safety,
Love and support.
If this space,
The root,
Is not in balance and harmony,
Very often we feel a lot of fear,
We live with stress,
With anxiety,
We don't feel safe in our own energy,
In our environment.
Now we also don't feel safe about money,
So I hope this meditation will bring you just a little bit more this energy of safety and stability.
Make sure you're lying down comfortably on your back,
Adjust yourself,
Your pillows and your blanket,
Make sure your space is quiet so you can truly rest and relax deeper and deeper.
Feel free to cover your eyes as well,
Make any adjustments you wish to before you finally come into stillness.
Connect back with your breath,
Noticing your breath flowing through your body as you keep inhaling and exhaling,
Maybe slowly even expanding your breath,
Taking a little bit deeper inhale and a full exhale,
Releasing all the tension from the day,
Releasing your thoughts,
Coming to the present moment of here and now.
And as you keep breathing,
Feel your body relaxing more and more,
Connecting to the surface underneath you,
Feeling your body heavier and heavier as you keep surrendering to the earth.
And let's connect with our intention today as we are grounding ourselves in the space of love and awareness.
I am safe and secure at each moment of now.
Say this sentence three times to yourself as you are opening to the energy of safety and support.
I am safe and secure at every moment of now.
And then after the next exhale,
Release your intention,
Come back to relaxing your body as we shift our awareness through different body parts,
Relaxing your right eye,
Feeling the space behind the eye,
Your right eyebrow,
Your right nostril,
Your right ear,
The earlobe,
The space inside your ear.
Relax the right side of your neck,
The jaw muscles,
Upper and lower lip.
Now bring attention to your right hand as you start relaxing every finger on your right hand,
Starting from your thumb,
Your index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger and the little finger.
Relaxing the inner palm and the upper palm,
Your wrist,
Your forearm,
Your elbow,
Your upper arm,
From the front and the back,
Your shoulder,
Feeling your shoulder relaxing more and more.
Relax your chest as you take the next exhale,
Feeling your waist,
Your right hip,
Bringing the attention to your back now,
Relaxing your lower back on the right side,
Your middle back and upper back as you keep grounding your right shoulder onto your bed and the air.
Relaxing your right glute,
Let it soften,
Release all the tension,
Your right thigh from the top and the right knee,
The back of your thigh,
The back of your knee,
Relaxing your right shin and the calf.
Feel the peaceful and healing energy now flowing through your whole right leg as it reaches your ankle,
The space around your ankle,
Your upper foot,
The sole of your right foot and every toe on your right foot now,
Starting from the big one,
Relaxing.
Now feel your whole right side,
Starting from your face and down through your torso,
Your back,
Your glute and your whole right leg.
Your right side is totally relaxed now and slowly move your awareness now back to your face,
Relaxing your left eye,
The space behind your eye,
Your eye socket,
Your eyebrow,
Your left nostril,
Your left cheek,
The left side of your jaw,
Softening,
Your chin,
The left side of your neck,
Your whole left hand,
The thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Little finger,
Your whole inner palm and the upper hand,
Your left wrist,
The forearm,
The elbow,
The whole left upper arm and the left shoulder.
Relaxing,
Totally relaxing and softening the left side of your chest,
Your belly and your left hip now,
Letting your left glute relax,
Releasing any tension.
The left quadricep and the left hamstring,
The back of your thigh,
The left knee and the space behind your knee,
The left calf and the shin.
The whole left leg is relaxing together with your left foot,
The ankle,
The upper and bottom parts of your foot,
The heel,
Every toe on your left foot now,
One by one.
Now feeling this calming energy flowing through your whole left side of the body,
Taking a deep inhale and a full exhale,
Relaxing your whole front,
Starting from your head through your forehead,
Your whole face,
The chest,
Ribs and belly and both of your hips and legs,
Grounding yourself deeper with the earth through the back of your head,
Your neck muscles releasing,
The back of your shoulders,
Your upper,
Middle and lower back totally relaxing,
Your glutes and the back of your legs totally relaxing,
Grounded and safe and as your whole body is relaxed now,
Coming back to the breath as we are counting our breaths now from 11 to 1 like this,
Inhale 11,
Exhale 11,
Inhale 10,
Exhale 10.
Keep going and breathing in the space of awareness and as you slowly finish your count,
Come back to the grounding sensation from within.
Notice the presence of your root chakra that is right at the bottom of your spine,
A few inches lower than your belly button,
Right in the middle and feel the presence of this energy there as your root,
As your foundation.
What foundations do you wish to have?
What do you wish to be rooted in?
Making a choice,
Here and now,
To be rooted in safety,
To be rooted in love,
To be rooted in divine unconditional peace.
Connecting to the energy of stability,
Knowing that everything you need or think you need,
You already have,
Here and now.
You are safe,
Here and now.
All the worry,
All the insecurities as it's making more space for strength,
For freedom,
For contentment and as you keep connecting to your roots,
Feel this energy centre in a red colour,
Powerful,
Healing,
Loving red that is flowing through your body now,
Making it all so warm,
So cosy,
Filled with love,
With trust.
And I invite you to stay there a little bit longer by yourself,
Exploring the space of awareness within,
Connecting to love and maybe even slowly drifting off to sleep or deeper relaxation.
Or if you need to finish this practice,
Whenever you're ready,
Just very slowly start deepening your breath,
Moving slowly the little parts of your body,
Your fingers and toes.
And whenever you're ready,
Going back to your day.
