So this is a stillness meditation.
And this is how I work with people in my energy work or in my course.
But this is of use to anyone.
So make yourself comfortable.
You can be lying down,
But I think it's more purposeful to be sat upright with a straight back.
And drop into the body.
Become aware of your body.
You can close your eyes.
So you may feel tension somewhere.
Scan over,
Maybe scan over your feet.
Up through your legs.
Up to your hips.
Your stomach,
Your solar plexus,
Over your chest.
Your throat.
Over your head,
Face.
Down over your shoulders.
Down your back.
And even in that observation,
You may be aware of temperature changes.
Parts of your body that are hot or cold.
You may feel your clothes against your skin.
You may feel tension.
So there's nothing to do here.
All we're doing is observing.
Just witness.
Just witness.
Now take some time to ground and to be still so it's natural at the beginning that the mind might be very active.
When you notice that you're lost in thoughts,
You realize just return to the body.
And over time you'll develop an anchor.
It may be your hands.
Maybe you can feel your pulse in your hands.
It may be your thighs or your feet or your chest or your face that you can feel the blood flow.
And you can return quite quickly to observe this pulse.
So if you can expand your view,
Your awareness,
Inner awareness of being in your body,
What it feels like.
So if you can expand your view,
Your awareness,
Inner awareness of being in your body,
What it feels like.
And if you find any thoughts coming in that you want to label this feeling,
Just come back to the body.
It's about observing and being,
Not thinking about observing or thinking about being.
Now I want you to take your attention to your hearing.
So you can hear my voice.
You can probably hear the birds around me.
And you may hear whatever other sounds are where you are.
Could be traffic,
Dogs barking or sounds in a house.
But any sounds,
Just allow them to pass through.
Again,
There's no need to label them or think that's a car,
That's a dog.
Just allow them to pass through.
All we're doing is witnessing.
This is the same for any thoughts.
Consciousness and thoughts just pass through us and we have the choice to hang on to any thought and think about it and follow it and end up in a conversation or analysis.
Or we have the option to just witness it and let it pass through and return to the present.
So you can stay with the sounds that you hear that are just passing through.
And you can stay present with your body,
What it feels like to be in this human body,
To be present in a human body.
And now I'd suggest to very slowly and gently,
We'll only do this briefly,
Open your eyes.
Now your mind might be frazzled a bit in opening your eyes.
But again,
Just observe the painting of colour in front of you.
So don't focus or look at anything in particular or specific.
Soft focus,
No need to look around and just allow that splash of colour.
Whatever it is,
It could be traffic,
It could be a forest,
It could be your bedroom wall,
It could be rubbish bins,
It doesn't matter.
It's all God consciousness and it's just colour.
And allow it to move,
If there are trees that are moving or cars that are passing or people walking.
Just allow it to move around.
And then gently close your eyes again and return inward,
Observing your body and any sounds.
So while you're in this state,
Feelings or emotions may arise.
And they may try to draw in analysis or thoughts.
So just let it be,
Let it be.
And then again,
Any thoughts or emotions may arise.
And they may try to draw in analysis or thoughts.
So again,
Allow any thoughts to pass through.
You can return to the feeling or the emotion,
You can return to the body or the sound.
If it's anger or impatience,
Witness it.
Observe,
Honour what's being presented to you.
We work with what is being presented.
So rather than forcing our being into emotions that we like or we consider to be pleasant,
We allow whatever to pass through us.
This is an opportunity to heal and to witness who we are,
To become more whole.
If tears come or anxiety comes,
Be present.
Honour your being,
Witness.
No need to try to steer your emotions or your thoughts,
Just be present and allow the release.
So we've come here to enter a human body.
And some would say that we're here to collect human emotion and experience,
Experiential emotion.
That they're recorded into our spirit,
Into our soul.
So as we record them,
We evolve past them.
And as we avoid them or escape perhaps into busyness or addiction or trying to control our emotions,
We're not getting complete with any emotion or any evolution.
We're stuck.
So we've come here to be in this human body,
To have a human experience.
And this is a wonderful experience when we know the tools and we know how to work with it.
Divine guidance comes through being present,
Being in your body,
Not escaping into other dimensions or into fluffy meditations or imagination.
Being present leads to divine inspiration and divine guidance.
Your spirit speaks to you.
You will feel in that moment or later on what your next step is.
You will naturally gravitate more to who you are.
So our spirit flows through us as we are the human,
As we are present and allow ourselves this time to be present,
Both in meditation and in our daily lives.
So by being present and in your senses,
You're honoring your journey here.
You will feel instinctively more and more who you are and what the next step is.
It does not need to be analyzed.
You don't need to seek it.
You don't need to pay people to tell you who you are.
By connecting and being present with yourself,
It can be a painful journey,
But more of you will be revealed.
So continue to be aware of your body and sounds,
Any sounds that you hear.
And very gradually bring yourself back in your own time when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
It's good to continue this practice regularly,
Daily.
This presence is a muscle and it builds over time and it's easier and easier to take it into our day to day,
To be present in our day to day,
In work,
In family,
In any kind of life that we're living.
Rather than being lost in our mind or our phones or busyness.
For those who feel great pain maybe arising in this work,
This is our shadow.
So this is what I teach people is to work through our shadow,
To work through that pain,
To reintegrate it,
Embrace it,
Bring it home and embrace all of who we are,
Not just the pieces that we like.
Well done on practicing this meditation.
And now go and enjoy the rest of your day,
Use it whenever you like.
Thank you.
