Hello,

My name is Abigail and I'm honored to guide you through this practice.

Grief is one of the life's profound teachers and it's a journey we all encounter at some point.

It's important to remember that grief is not something we overcome,

But something we integrate into our lives with tenderness and care.

Today,

We'll use the power of breath to create space for healing.

Together,

We'll explore a gentle practice to help you release tension,

Connect with your heart,

And find a sense of peace amidst the waves of emotion.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

Close your eyes,

If you feel safe to do so,

And let your body soften.

Take a moment to feel the surface beneath you,

Whether it's the floor,

A cushion,

Or a chair.

Place one hand over your heart and the other on your belly.

With a deep inhale,

Feel your body expand.

As you exhale,

Let a sense of heaviness settle into the earth,

Releasing anything you don't need to carry right now.

Take a moment to set an intention for this practice,

Perhaps to honor your emotions,

To find a pocket of peace,

Or simply to be present with whatever arises.

We'll begin with a soothing rhythm of breath.

Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four.

Hold your breath gently at the top for a count of four.

Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six.

We'll repeat the cycle for a few rounds,

Allowing your breath to lengthen and your body to soften with each exhale.

As you breathe,

Imagine your inhale as a stream of light entering your body,

Filling it with warmth and healing energy.

On the exhale,

Visualize tension,

Heaviness,

Or sadness gently dissolving,

Carried away by your breath.

Now bring to mind a memory or a symbol of love,

Perhaps a moment with someone you've lost,

A place that brings you peace,

Or a simple feeling of warmth.

Let this memory or image sit softly in your heart like a glowing ember.

With each breath,

Imagine this ember glowing brighter,

Spreading warmth throughout your body.

Let it remind you of the connection that never truly fades,

And the light that continues to shine within you.

To close,

I'll share a few affirmations.

Feel free to repeat them silently or out loud,

Or simply let them wash over you.

I honor my grief as an expression of love.

I am allowed to feel this moment fully and gently.

With each breath,

I find strength and peace within.

I carry the light of connection in my heart.

When you're ready,

Return to the rhythm of your natural breath.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

Bringing yourself back to the present moment.

Thank you for sharing this space with me today.

Remember,

Healing is not linear.

It's a journey of small,

Mindful steps.

Whenever you need to pause and reconnect,

Your body and mind are connected.

Your breath is always here to guide you.

Take care of yourself,

And may you carry a sense of lightness and love into your day.
