
Yoga Nidra: Chakra Healing For Emotional Ease
This yoga nidra will guide you to gather your energy back from everything you've given out to today and prepare you for healing rest or sleep. You will be guided to bring deep rest and ease to the body, mind and emotions as you journey though chakra healing and connecting with your guides and/or ancestors. This will end with the choice to either continue resting or sleeping, or to gently come back to your day if you wish.

Welcome to this yoga nidra chakra healing for deep rest.
Settle in to a comfortable space now,
Lying down in shavasana or any position that is comfortable for you.
And as you settle in,
Bring your eyes to a soft gaze or close them completely.
And take three deep breaths as you lie here and sigh out on each exhale.
Breathing and sighing as you prepare to surrender into healing rest and stillness.
And now bring your awareness to the space around you.
Think about how much of your energy is out there.
The energy you've given out today to people,
Places and things.
And sense the space stretching out to the left of you.
And as you inhale,
Imagine you're pulling your energy back from the left,
Back into your body.
And now sense the space below,
Behind you.
And inhaling,
Pull back your energy into your body.
And now shifting attention to the space on the right of you.
Pulling energy back from the right,
Back into your body with each inhale.
And now sense the space above or in front of you.
Sensing your energy coming back to the body as you inhale.
And now bring awareness back to your breathing rhythm that you normally have.
And now take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Sense your muscles softening.
And on each out breath,
Can you soften your body a little more?
Even if just by one percent.
And where else might you soften just a little more?
Now allow your breathing rhythm to return to normal.
And feel in to the sensation of softness and allow it to flow through your body.
Softness flowing through your whole body.
Softening and bringing ease.
As I guide you further into the state of yoga nidra,
If you don't want to follow any guidance or instructions,
You always have the choice not to.
Instead,
If you wish,
You can follow your breath and then come back to my guidance as and when you like.
It's completely normal if you zone out or drift in and out from my voice.
So don't worry if you miss any guidance,
Trust that you'll hear what you need to and you'll get rest or even sleep if that's what your body needs today.
We'll begin setting an intention or sankalpa.
And this is a heartfelt statement that you make to yourself that's repeated in the present tense.
Usually starting with I am,
As if it's already happening.
And I'll lead you through a little exercise to help you tune in to what your sankalpa or intention might be.
Some examples of a heartfelt I am sankalpa or intention might be I am happy and healthy or I am relaxed and at ease or I am confident in my abilities.
But just first take a breath from your head into your heart and continue breathing in and out of your heart space.
Breathing in and out of the centre of your chest.
Sensing in to this area,
The seat of the heart.
And feeling to why you want to rest today.
What is it your heart is yearning for?
And as something emerges,
Can you make this a statement in the present tense and positive as if it's happening now?
Once you have your sankalpa or intention,
Repeat it to yourself inwardly three times.
And now you enter a portal to deep rest and relaxation.
Your awareness shifting into deep rest.
And we'll begin with rotating your attention throughout the body.
As I name different body parts,
Bring awareness to that body part.
The swiftness that we move on to the next part of the body is designed to draw your awareness from your mind into the physical body.
Start by bringing attention to the right hand thumb.
The second finger.
Third finger.
Fourth finger.
Fifth finger.
Palm of the right hand.
Back of the hand.
The right wrist.
Lower arm.
Right elbow.
Right shoulder.
Right thigh.
Sole of the right foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Fourth toe.
Coming aware now of the left hand thumb.
Second finger.
Fourth finger.
Palm of the left hand.
Back of the hand.
Lower arm.
Left shoulder.
Heel.
Sole of the left foot.
Second toe.
To the back of the body.
Right shoulder blade.
Left shoulder blade.
Right buttock.
Left buttock.
The spine.
Whole back of the body together.
Awareness to the top of the head.
The forehead.
The right eyebrow.
The space between the eyebrows.
Throat.
Right chest.
Middle of the chest.
Navel point.
The whole of the wrist.
Right leg.
Whole of the left leg.
Legs together.
The whole of the right arm.
Arms together.
The whole of the back.
Buttocks,
Spine and shoulder blades.
The whole of the front,
Chest and abdomen.
The whole of the back and front together.
The whole head and feet.
Awareness of the whole body.
Feel sensation in the whole body.
And bring your attention now to your breath.
Noticing the inhalation and exhalation.
And now noticing the pause in stillness just before you inhale.
And the pause in stillness before you exhale.
Noticing all the places the breath goes into before pausing in fullness.
And all the places the breath comes all the way out of before pausing in stillness.
Breathing in,
Pausing on fullness.
And breathing out,
Pausing on stillness.
Breathing in,
Fullness.
Breathing out,
Into stillness.
Rhythmically breathing.
Letting the body receive the rhythm of the breath.
And on the next exhalation when the breath is fully out.
Welcome this pause in stillness as a time of deep breath.
And on the next inhale when the breath is fully in.
Welcome this pause in fullness as a time of growth.
Growth.
Exhaling rest and stillness.
Inhaling growth and expansion.
Exhaling deep rest and stillness.
Inhaling growth and expansion.
Exhaling into healing rest.
And now allowing the breath to return to normal.
Bringing attention now to the chakras,
Vibrating energy centres in the body.
Now as you follow the chakras up one by one towards the crown.
Feel each chakras energy come alive with the breath.
Feel all chakras connected with different parts of your life flow.
Inhaling at the base of your spine.
Breathing here as you sense a red glow filling the base of the spine.
And as the red glow deepens with each breath,
Sense the medicine of this first chakra.
The energy of groundedness and trust in life.
Keep breathing,
Feeling the energy of groundedness and trusting in life.
Moving to the second chakra at the space just below your navel point and all the way out to your hips.
Breathe in to this sacral region and sense the colour orange filling your sacral area.
Breathing and holding the attention at the sacral region.
The orange glow permeating this area.
And sense into the medicine of the second chakra the energies of creative flow and pleasure.
And now attention moves to the third chakra.
Breathe here at the abdomen just above the navel point.
And sense a yellow glow filling your abdomen.
And as you continue to breathe,
The colour yellow becoming stronger.
Sense in to the energies of the third chakra,
Your inner power.
Reclaiming your inner power.
Moving to the heart centre.
Breathe with your attention at the heart centre.
And as you breathe,
Sense an emerald green glow filling your heart.
And sense in to the energies of the heart chakra and compassion,
Kindness.
And as you continue to breathe,
The green becomes stronger.
Your heart envelops you with these energies.
Kindness,
Compassion and love.
Attention now moves to the middle of the throat.
In and out at the middle of the throat.
And here sense a sky blue glow filling your throat area.
And as you continue to breathe at the throat,
The sky blue glow becomes stronger.
Sense in to the energies of the throat chakra,
Fully expressing yourself,
The true you.
And feel this as you breathe,
Expressing the true version of yourself.
Moving awareness now to the third eye,
The space between the eyebrows.
Breathe here at the third eye.
And as you breathe,
Sense a deep indigo purple glow at the space between your eyebrows.
And as you continue to breathe,
The indigo colour glowing stronger.
Sense in to the energies of the third eye.
Clarity,
Seeing clearly and following your intuition.
And as you breathe,
Continue to sense in to the third eye energies of clarity,
Seeing clearly and following your own intuition.
Connect with the crown of your head.
Feel the expanded awareness of your crown energy completely open as you breathe in to this area of the crown of the head.
Begin to sense a white light filling the crown chakra of your head.
As the white light grows stronger as you breathe,
Tune in to the sense of all as one,
The sense of connectedness to the universe.
And as this white light grows stronger,
Connecting you to a sense of oneness and connectedness to the universe.
Feel the white light merge with all the energies of the other chakras.
The white light coming down from the head and into the body.
The whole body filling with white light.
And as you sense or imagine the whole body filled with white light,
All the chakras are purified.
Feel into this.
Now observe yourself resting in a peaceful sanctuary.
You are the witness of your own body.
No judgement,
Simply observe yourself resting.
In this peaceful sanctuary you are completely at ease.
A sense of emptiness and stillness.
Body and no body.
Here there is space to deeply rest.
Rest here in supreme stillness.
Now slowly bring to mind any mentors or guides that you may have in life.
This might be people you know or look up to or might be spirit guides,
Your ancestors or spirit animals.
Welcome them in to be with you.
They are here to see and support the true you.
In their presence,
If it feels right,
You might repeat these affirmations to yourself.
I deserve to feel rested.
I deserve to feel rested.
Relaxation and ease are available to me.
I trust that I am supported in life.
I trust that I am supported in life.
I have the right to rest when I need to.
I have the right to rest when I need to.
I now sense all forms of exhaustion dissolving and leaving the body.

Here there is space to deeply rest.
My voice will leave you for a few minutes.
You are now in an energy field where intentions or sankalpas can be heard and manifested.
Now repeat your intention or sankalpa that you set at the start of the practice.
Repeating it softly to yourself three times.
And trust that whether you know it or not,
Every part of you hears your intention and invites it to come towards you.
As you continue to breathe,
You are aware again of your guides,
Mentors or ancestors around you.
They may have a message for you.
Can you sense or imagine that?
Breathe the message that you receive into your heart and notice how it feels in your body.
Or if there is no message,
Trust that this may appear later tonight or in dream time.
Your guides may stay or leave you now and sense in to any gratitude for their presence today.
Your body is quiet.
Your mind is calm.
And Yoga Nidra is now complete.
If you would like to continue resting or sleeping,
You can switch off and there is no need to continue to listen.
If you would like to continue with your day,
You might like to invite in gentle movement from the fingers and toes.
Slowly circling the wrists and ankles.
Stretching the body if you need to.
And giving yourself a few moments before coming back to sitting.
