Oxygenating the cells of the body is essential for good health and vitality. Join Jordan as he guides you through a breathing practice that promotes longer, deeper, fuller breaths. This practice may be a little challanging for beginners but is desgined to reprogram your breathing to be more efficient.

Script

Sit in any comfortable meditative posture.

Sit in a nice straight back,

Hands on knees or palms facing up if you wish to lay down for this practice.

Gently close your eyes and mouth.

Let's start by taking in a deep breath in through the nose and out through the nose.

Notice your breath.

Start to take in deeper breaths by pushing out your abdominal region.

Push your tummy out as far as you can,

Inhaling as much oxygen as you can.

Breathe in one straight line from the navel to the throat.

On exhalation,

Allow your abdominal region to relax.

No force or any pressure on your breath.

Try and exhale as slow as you can,

Slowing down your breath.

Roll your breathing through your abdominal region.

Believe in the power of your breath.

Positive thoughts equals positive chemistry.

Positive thoughts equals negative chemistry.

Start to attach a positive intent on each breath.

Set a clear intention with each breath to fully relax your body.

Bring your body into a state of calmness and joy.

Connect to the power of your breath.

Your body depends on oxygen.

Oxygen is life.

Your cells crave oxygen.

Start to really make a conscious effort to take in long,

Deep breaths.

Start to distribute the oxygen throughout your whole body.

Your body is made out of cells.

Cells need oxygen.

Retain your breath for a few moments.

Feel every cell in your body.

Shallow breaths do not allow your cells to be fully rejuvenated.

Deep abdominal breathing allows your lungs to take in a far greater amount of oxygen.

Expand and relax your tummy with each breath cycle.

Retain your breath for a few moments.

Attach a positive intent to each breath.

Feel your cells becoming rejuvenated.

Start to feel your body as one unit,

Sending loving energy to each breath.

Be aware of the oxygen flowing through your nostrils.

Feel the oxygen moving through your airways.

Feel the air come out of your body.

Be aware of the sensations as the air releases from your nostrils.

Be very aware of the process of breathing as if you are studying its every movement.

Tune your attention to be at the start and end of every breath.

Surrender to your breath.

Allow each breath to bring you into a deeper state of relaxation.

Completely let go and surrender to your breath.

Now follow my count as we start to take in deep conscious breaths.

Breathe in.

1 2 3 4 5.

Hold.

I'm a novice at meditation and have used it for relaxation but also my physical therapist taught me how to breathe diaphragmatically 5 years ago in order to help keep my abdominal adhesions looser. When I came across this practice yesterday I was a bit worried that I would not be able to fully implement the guidance based on some reviews. However I just completed the practice with not much difficulty and have found this to be the best abdomen and lung expanding meditation I have listened to in the 5 years I've been using IT. I love the guided counting and this will definitely be a part of my regular practice. Thank you 🙏
