Gratitude Meditation Giving Thanks The following meditation will help you to get in touch with all the ways in which you have things in your life to be grateful for,

Both the seemingly negative experiences and the positive experiences,

So that you can open your heart more.

This meditation is part of our Gratitude Course,

A 10-day course aimed at helping you cultivate the energy of gratitude in your life,

So that you can feel more and more consistently grateful and have more and more joy,

Happiness and inner peace in your life.

In order to optimize your experience of this meditation,

Take some time before you begin to write out things that you are grateful for in your life.

You may want to create two columns.

On one side,

You'll write the seemingly negative experiences in your life and why you can feel grateful for them,

What they're teaching you,

The lessons that you are learning from them.

And on the right side,

The positive experiences that you're grateful for in your life.

In a moment,

I'll take you through a process of giving thanks.

To prepare for it,

Start right now by making a list of all the things you want to give thanks for in your life.

Include both the extremely positive ones and the ones that have in the past felt more challenging or painful.

Pause the track if you want some extra time to write your list.

Now let's move into our practice.

If you'll gently close your eyes and intend to relax fully and completely.

Take a moment to ground yourself in your body.

By feeling your feet rooted in the ground.

Feeling completely safe to feel and experience whatever you feel within the space of your body right now.

Let yourself feel how loved and supported you are by the Earth and the Divine.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Experience yourself in your body on this planet,

Completely safe,

Completely loved,

Completely supported right now.

Now take a moment to give thanks for all of the unconditional love and support that is always available to you when you become aware of it.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Now feeling safe and grounded,

Center yourself in your body,

At the very center of it.

Bring your awareness to the space of your heart and center yourself in your heart.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

And just relax there for a while.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Take a few moments to breathe through the space of your heart.

Use your imagination if that helps,

To breathe through your heart fully and completely.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

And to feel what you feel there in the space of your heart,

While remaining grounded and centered in your heart.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Now looking at the list that you just created,

The list of what you're thankful for.

Maintain your awareness in the space of your heart and feel the list from within the space of your heart,

Fully and completely.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

And from your heart,

Express your gratitude and give thanks for each and every one of the things,

People,

Situations that you wrote on your list,

One by one.

Let yourself feel the power of the Earth and the Divine.

Giving thanks for all of the blessings you've received,

Are receiving and will continue to receive throughout your entire life.

Spontaneously add it to your list and as you vocalize it,

People and situations in your life that you are choosing to feel grateful for in this present moment in time.
