Welcome to this meditation for empaths.
Before we are able to connect on a deeper relationship with our body,
Mind and spirit,
We must understand that we are finely tuned instruments that can have a lower threshold to sound,
Light and smells that causes us to feel disconnected to ourselves in the first place.
If you are an empath,
You'll feel absolutely everything.
Intimacy with our bodies requires us to step away from the excessive stimulation and into the pools of calm.
Today's meditation will be a visualization and I'll guide you through how to protect yourself and your energy.
Taking a moment now to find a spot where you won't be interrupted by technology or people.
It's best to sit upright,
Comfortable in a seated position,
Getting grounded with the earth,
Closing down your eyes and listen to the audible breath.
Just letting your breath wash through your body and bring it to the center of your open heart.
Breathing naturally here,
Adjusting to becoming still.
I want you to now take a moment to visualize sunshine touching your skin,
The warmth and softness of it.
As you're breathing,
Visualize now this warm sunlight surrounding your body and extending a few inches beyond your body.
This shield of light will protect you from anything draining,
Stressful,
Toxic or overwhelming.
Within this shield of light,
You feel protected dear one,
Grounded and energized.
Inwardly say thank you for this protection.
Take a deep inhale here and a slow exhale,
Anchoring you deep into the ground.
Feeling our unwavering connection to the shield of this light,
Observing as you become calm.
What is with you now in this moment?
Are you more grounded,
Rooted and at ease?
As thoughts come and go,
And they will,
Visualize them as clouds passing above in the sky.
Noticing your thoughts,
But don't engage with them.
Just gently noticing them coming and going.
Keep bringing your attention back here to your breath.
On the next inhale in,
Say the word calm.
On the exhale out,
Say the word stress.
Let yourself feel the air passing through your body,
Inviting calm in and exhaling stress out.
With the next breath,
Calm,
Which is as sweet as a flower in springtime.
Exhale stress and tension from your body.
Taking a moment now to repeat these words within your mind to soothe and nourish your soul.
May I be free of worry.
May I be free of stress.
May I stay in the present moment.
May I not take on people's pain.
May I be free.
Taking a moment here to open your arms wide to truly receive this peace,
Grace and this respite from the overstimulation of the day.
Life as an empath will always be a balance between staying intimate with the beautiful gifts of being an empath and choosing how to live alongside the static around you.
You realize you aren't the static.
You are the quiet intuition just beyond.
This meditation is a powerful daily practice to take control of your biology as an empath and it empowers you to lower your stress.
Taking a moment now to come back into the room that you are sitting,
Bringing your awareness back into this room.
Come completely back into your body,
Mindful and aware.
Wiggling your toes,
Wiggling your fingers and gently opening up your eyes.
Really beautiful work today dear one.
You are ready to continue on refreshed and renewed for the day.
