This is going to be an inner child meditation where you will meet your inner child.

I'd like for you to lie down comfortably or find a comfortable seated position.

I'd like for you to start taking deep,

Deep belly breaths.

Do this by breathing in through your nose and allowing your belly to rise with each breath.

And exhale,

Your belly sinks in.

Take another deep breath in through the nose.

Breathe in deeper and allow your chest to rise as well.

And as you exhale,

Your chest will fall and your belly will sink in.

And this is called a wave breath.

Breath in,

Belly rise,

Chest rise.

And as you exhale,

Let the chest fall and the belly sinks in.

Keep breathing deeply through this entire meditation.

As you breathe in deep,

Drop your consciousness down to your heart space.

Really focus on your breath.

Focus on the heart space,

Center,

And allow your breath to really engulf and encapsulate your entire being.

As you keep breathing deeply in that wave-like breath,

I want you to bring your awareness up to your mind's eye.

Your mind's eye is just slightly above the center in between your eyebrows.

This is also known as your third eye.

Keep breathing deeply.

And you notice in your third eye or your mind's eye,

You notice a hallway.

In this hallway,

You see a door.

There's no doorknob on the door,

But you know instinctively through your intuition,

All you have to do to open it is place your hand on the door and it will open just for you.

So you walk up to the door,

You place your hand on it,

And it opens.

You walk through the doorway and it closes.

Instinctively,

You know where to walk in this dark room.

You're way across the other side of the room and you feel that there's a chair there.

You sit in the chair and this is your most comfortable,

Most perfect chair.

As you seat yourself in the chair,

You feel how comfortable and how relaxed you are.

It is your most perfect chair.

Next to the chair,

You feel a remote with just one button.

Out of curiosity,

You push the button and notice in front of you,

There's a very large window.

It almost looks like a movie screen.

In this window,

You see yourself as a child.

You see yourself at the age of about three or four.

You're playing and laughing and having such an amazing time.

You sit for a few moments and watch yourself playing.

You remember how much fun you had as a child when you played and played and played without a care in the world.

You notice that you're in your favorite place to play,

Whether that was a backyard,

By the lake,

In the mountains,

In your living room,

Bedroom,

Or playroom.

As you sit and watch yourself play,

You begin to feel the desire to go and be with your inner child,

Your inner self.

As you take a deep breath in,

You feel yourself melding in.

You find yourself as you exhale on the other side of that window.

Now you are with your inner child.

Your inner child sees you and gives you a great big hug.

Your inner child has missed you.

You embrace back and you feel the warmth embrace of yourself.

Your inner child,

It's been a long time.

You sit for a moment and just kind of look at each other.

Kind of look at each other.

It's kind of a silly moment.

Your inner child kind of laughs and says,

Hey,

I'm so much older.

And you look at yourself as a child.

You see your innocence,

Brand new freshness that is all,

That is everything as a child.

You take a few minutes to introduce yourselves to each other.

And then you also take a few minutes to just really get acquainted and start to have a dialogue with your inner child.

You begin to ask each other questions and talk to each other.

So I'll give you a few moments to be with your inner child,

Feeling that it's time to go.

You embrace your inner child again in a parting way.

You allow your inner child to give you a great big hug.

And you feel that embrace.

You feel that warmth and that love.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

You find yourself back in the room.

Now you're standing in between the chair and the window.

Your inner child is waving at you.

Goodbye for now.

Please come back soon.

And then your inner child points towards the wall.

So you look over to the wall and you notice that there's a switch.

You walk over to the switch and you turn it on.

You flip the switch.

You look around and you see your sacred sanctuary.

This is comprised of the most beautiful things,

Your most wonderful and favorite things of this lifetime and others.

As you look around your sacred sanctuary,

You notice that you feel so safe and everything is so familiar.

All of your most favorite things are here.

Notice what it looks like.

Look up and notice what the ceiling looks like.

Is it a ceiling or is it the sky?

Is it trees or clouds?

Is it forest or is it water?

Look around at the walls.

Are there walls?

Look at the floor.

Is it grass,

Water,

Sand?

Is it the forest floor or is it on the beach?

Is it carpeting or cement?

Is it hardwood floors or tile?

Look at your feet.

Are you barefoot or do you have shoes on?

Close your eyes and take a deep breath.

What does it smell like?

Does it smell like your favorite perfume or cologne or a favorite baked good like cookies or pie?

Or does it smell like flowers or fruit?

Look around and notice the lighting.

Is it bright light or is it very dim or subtle or is it dark still?

Notice the warmth or the coolness of the air.

Notice how it feels against your skin.

Know that this is your sacred sanctuary.

This is only for you,

Your guides,

Your guardians,

Your inner child,

Your inner oracle.

The only beings or entities allowed in here are the ones that you allow because this is your sacred sanctuary.

Feeling that it's time to go,

You look around and know that you will be back soon.

You turn to leave and you make your way to the door.

You place your hand on the door and it opens just for you.

You close the door and you find yourself back in the hallway.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale you find your awareness back to your third eye,

Back to your mind's eye.

Take a deep breath in as you find yourself back in your heart space and exhale.

As you take a deep breath in,

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Deep breath in,

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes and maybe rock your head from side to side.

Exhale.

Take another deep breath in and wiggle your arms and legs and exhale.

Take another deep breath in and open your eyes and become reacquainted with the room and exhale.

I would recommend that you visit your sacred sanctuary and your inner child often.
