Make the little adjustments that you need and now begin to breathe.
I want you to imagine that you are breathing in and out from your heart.
With each breath,
Your heart opens a little more and the light of love fills every cell in your being.
Let your mind and your heart drift now to a small seaside cove.
The water is crystal clear and the waves gently lap on the shore.
Each wave soothes your soul and softens your heart.
Each gentle wave cleanses and clears your heart.
You feel alive,
Healthy and well.
Your mind and your body are integrated.
You feel at home in yourself.
Imagine now you see a beautiful tree which provides shade for you to rest under.
Walk over to the tree.
There is a comfortable towel and pillow waiting for you and you notice that there is a note written placed on the pillow with your name.
You bend down,
You pick up the note,
You open it and it says one word.
You choose to obey whoever wrote this note to you and you lie back.
You know you need to relax.
We all do.
You know that if you relax now you will have more energy later.
As you lie back on the comfortable support,
You begin to drift.
Now we will begin a calming countdown from the number 99.
With each number you will find yourself drifting deeper into relaxation.
We will only count on the exhale,
Allowing you to let go and relax with each breath out.
So when you are ready,
Take a deep breath in and as you slowly exhale softly say to yourself 99.
Breathe in again and as you exhale now gently say 98.
Inhale and with your next exhale 97.
Inhale and with your next exhale 96.
Continue breathing deeply,
Exhaling and counting down.
Feel the numbers guiding you,
Each exhale firing you further into a state of calm.
As you drift deeper now,
Allow yourself to see yourself in a beautiful bubble.
This is a love bubble.
See the people in your family,
Your friends in this bubble.
Feel your heart open to them.
Feel connected,
Safe,
Warm,
Content.
In your bubble you are resilient and strong.
You can cope with change.
As people age,
As parents and children grow,
Your love and strength and resilience get stronger.
In this bubble you feel unshakeable.
You know that to impress yourself,
To love yourself is how this bubble stays strong.
You radiate warmth and love and joy to the people around you.
The bubble gets stronger.
Feeling your emotions,
All of your emotions is a very positive thing.
In this bubble there is space for all of your emotions,
Whether you feel sad,
You feel afraid,
You feel annoyed,
That's okay.
Most feelings dissipate and through the strength and love of your heart and the warmth that you radiate,
They do not linger.
I want you to imagine now that you can see yourself moving your body.
Imagine that you are dancing,
That you are free to dance as if nobody is watching you.
I want you to notice the sense of the rhythm of the music,
Of the freedom in your body,
Of the strength in your body,
That the muscles are strong but also relaxed.
And you have this innate sense of joy to move your body.
So even if you are doing housework or home,
On your own,
Wherever you might be,
This sense of joy just allows your feet to start to move and your body to flow.
I want you to know that you move,
You love to move your body.
You are aware that to practice radical self-compassion,
You need to come from a place of peace and tranquility.
I want you to see that your voice is the one that matters.
No matter how stressful a situation may become,
Listen to your voice,
Listen to your heart.
Notice now that there is a feeling of balance.
The more often that you listen to this,
The more often you switch off your mind,
The easier it is for you to connect to yourself.
To connect to nature and to connect to those that you love.
You prioritise these things now and it brings joy and peace and light.
These suggestions can be absorbed in an effortless way.
Allow yourself to simply be open.
Allow yourself to rest often,
To laugh a lot,
To be here now for this one beautiful precious life.
